This is a beautiful door but unfortunately the finish is peeling off and now it looks bad. This is not a cheap door and should last a lot longer than it does. Home Depot should quit selling this item and protect their customers from this low quality product. In my opinion if you buy this door you will be sorry sooner or later.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 4corners The Feather River door is built to last.
The Feather River door arrived in excellent condition. It was packed in a manner for easy shipment. It was easy to install, and fit perfectly. The color was just what we had expected. Great quality for the price.

In the past prior to the recent remodeling of the ceiling fans dept. there were not much to choose from nor experience to go along with it. However, since than I did go back and made my purchaces again with great success and is very satisfied with the last 5 and the prior 5 ceiling fan purchased for both of my homes.
Yes, my husband and I are just about finished with the remodeling of our second home in which like our first all purchases were made from Home Depot. So, as you could plannly see we are extremely satisfied with all of our purchases from the kitchen sinks to all four bathrooms, etc. And will be coming back pretty soon to make our final purchase of 2 exterior doors (1lh entrance door and 1 lh patio- french door).
I constanly recommend the Chalmette store to people I know.

I only had it up for a week, looks great. I decided to go without the outside trim which comes with it. It’s easy to take out and put your own

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disgusted Poor Finish on door
The finish on this door does not hold up. My door is protected with a porch but that doesn't help. I called the manufacturer and they told me what to do to fix the bottom panel. After 2 yrs the panel needs to be done again. We have put on a poly coat every 2 yrs like they told us but the buttom panel keeps on peeling. Don't waste your money. The door is very cheaply finished and does not hold up.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by TownhouseDweller Finish Goes Bad in 2 Years - Refinish looks bad
We purchased a Feather River fiberglass door about two years ago and the finish is already starting to peel. To make things worse, almost every home in our townhouse development purchased these doors because the association "got a deal." Some deal! After just two years the finish is going bad. The association tried to refinish a few doors and they look even worse. My recommendation, if you're not into buying new doors every two years -- get a good steel door.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by rp222 DO NOT BUY
I purchased this door a few years ago and I do not like it as much as I thought I would. It looks really cheap and does not fit as well as my old door. I was trying to update the look of my 1970s brick home so I took the old solid wood door down and replaced it with this. Big mistake. This really makes a nice home look tacky. Go for something nicer and solid wood if you have a nice home.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Retiredandcomfortable I found the door to be exactly as described.
I like the overall appearance and especially like the wood-grain look and feel and the quality of the leaded glass insert. Since this is my first fiberglass exterior door, I can only hope it stands up to our hot Texas summers as well or better than the wood door it replaces and with less maintenance. This door adds to the curb appeal of our home and should be a better insulator.
