I purchased this door a few years ago for a front door replacement. I could not be any happier with it. It is very distinctive looking and I get lots of compliments so much so that last weekend I purchased a second one to replace a side door. This time, I noticed a stress crack in the glass of the decorative window pane. The two panes of glass protecting the decorative glass are fine. I tried to contact Feather River TWICE to see if they would send a new damage free panel. I have not heard back. I will keep on calling and emailing them until someone listens to me. Just make sure that the glass is perfectly fine before you bring it home and be prepared to not get the best customer service from Feather River.

We bought this door and had it professionally installed, along with custom transom.
Given the issues with our old door and the hassle the pros had installing the door, glad we went that route.
The door is lovely and every day that I drive up to the house I can see what a great choice we made.
We put the door on a red brick colonial house and painted it blue. The colors in the leaded art glass in the door match really well with our choice. I like this door because it has archetectural interest and will meld with many different styles of house.

This is a stunning door with a beautiful window inlay. The only issue was the man who took my order. He really doesn't know which side is left or right for the handle. My contractor had to return the door to get the right one. This is such an improvement to my dark front entry way.

Ordered a custom sized unit - Three weeks later it arrived and was installed by Home Depot. Like others have said for whatever reason feather river leaves a huge gap on the lock side of the door, so much in fact that when closed you could see light thru the jamb ! The custom cut was a hack-job and crooked, door never closed correctly and at this point we decided to order another brand of door and return this thing. Much happier with the new door. The door sure looked nice in the showroom - just wish it actually fit... Bummer -

I purchased the door for the detail and craftsman looks.
I installed the door only to find that the premade jamb is 1/4 inch or more to big. When I shut the door the gap
between the door and it's premade jamb is 1/2 inch?
The door handle's latch will barley catch due to the
gap. I am going to remove the door and take the jamb
apart to trim it and re-install. So much for purchasing
a pre-hung door. I have installed 3 other door's (JenWeld)
and they are tight no gap. Last time for this brand.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JOJO good looking door, easy install in older home 1938
Very consistently finished door, very good sound and cold insulator. Glass inset sparkles and adds a good balance of privacy vs light transmission into what used to be a dark interior entrance and staircase. Be advised that window is set high in door and depending on your height you will not be able to see out which is ok. Home Depot did the install and it was well worth it. The install took 2 hrs with some extra repairs needed, I would've been struggling for 6 hrs to do the same job. There was only paint and a little bit of doorjam finish sanding for me to do to the install, not saying the sanding should have been done as part of the install, since it wasn't on tje work ordet, it would have given the project a fully finished look, I am satisfied with HD subcontractors work, they dod my windows too. I would highly recommend HD products and indtall.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by CNYHouse1009 Nice looking door, but some flaws
After unpacking the door we noticed that the staples/nails used to construct the header jamb at both top corners were sticking out and visible. Luckily my husband is a carpenter and was able to remove the staples and reconnect the jamb. Now we will have to fill the nail holes before painting. Not a huge deal, but still adds time to the project. Not so sure that the average homeowner would be willing or able to correct the flaws.
