purchased my door 5 years ago. installed by Home Depot Vendor. Today the door looks terrible, finish blistering off, but side panel looks very good, told by FeatherRiver that instructions to put a polyurethane coating on every 2 years, but not told this at time of purchase at store or I wouldn't have bought it, and its also not in there brochure.Paint only Warranteed for 2 years. Id expect that from a wood door, not a fiberglass door.ive asked a few people if they coated there door every 2 years, was told NO, never heard that. I found the door looks good and nice craftsmanship overall, because of maintence id never buy another door from them

Writing about a truly terrible experience with a past purchase, Order ID #: 1092277441. I ordered a door with Home Depot on 3/25/16 and ultimately received it in mid-June. This passed the 2 week deadline for that order survey opportunity, so I am leaving it here. I have been a very loyal customer of Home Depot for years, especially purchasing over $5000 worth of items for a current home renovation. I decided to go with my favorite home improvement store for a new front door. To my dismay, when I arrived home with the door, I found multiple scrapes and dents in the door! I did not expect to pay over $1,800 for a damaged product. Plus, there is no opportunity to move the 200+lb door to be fixed! What am I to do? I cannot believe that Home Depot was so careless with this project, leaving me incredibly unsatisfied with my purchase. I certainly will not be returning anytime soon for any more renovation needs.

This door or entire product line can't stand up to direct sunlight. The warrenty was a complete joke with the Feather River winning by delaying and requesting more and more worthless reviews and documentation. They actually felt that addition efforts should have been done to have the door protected from the sun, like a tinted screen door. they argued that I should have done monthly maintainance on the door to further protect it. The door started to fail, yes falling apart, within 4 years. I purchased new pieces from feather river, no warrenty. Had the glass replaced by local company. I sanded down the entire door and placed a quality exterior spray paint, 4 coats, and protective UV clear coat, 4 coats, on it. Door does now look great but I doubt the average homeowner wants this level of work on a 1200 dollar product! The Home Deput rep said straight up that Feather River never honors it warrenty and he himself had a failed down that they would not fix or replace.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by MarineCentral Door not designed for long door handle
I purchased this October 2014. Now July 2015, about 8 months old. I notice the lower end nut (that hold the lower end of long door handle from the outside, developed some indent. Closely inspect, I saw the fiberglass from the interior dented in and crack. Brought the issue to Home Depot, they talk to manufacturer, then gave me a claim number and asked me to send them picture. The next day, warranty people from manufacturer called me back and said the 1/8 in thick fiberglass do not designed to hold long door handle. I used my knuckle and knock around that felt like nothing was behind that thin fiberglass, very hollow sound. Manufacturer told me that is not under warranty (25 years warranty on their paper). IMHO, if I pulled close the door to close a bit stronger, my door handle would come off, since there is not much more than a front and back two sheet of 1/8 in thick to hold it. Now the issue is back to Home Depot and I am waiting from them. Will update soon.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by drj356 Beautiful Door - Repeated Trim Ring Failures
In June of 2012 I had my door installed by a store approved contractor. It all went well & looked great.
JULY 2013 the trim ring (around the glass) on the outside of the door started to warp and separate pulling away from the face of the door. After a moderate ordeal Feather River replaced the door.
JANUARY 2015 and the exact same failure has occurred. The trim ring is warping in the same location. I don't know why this has happened again - but it is really frustrating. It is very interesting that it is occurring in exactly the same location. Last time was a bit worse. The trim ring actually split at the seam but that took about a week after the initial separation. This warp just happened last night so it may still get worse like it did last time.
The door still looks great (if you don't look at the trim ring) and it still opens and closes just fine. The stupid trim ring is clearly inferior quality. We'll see how they handle a repeat failure.
Due to repeated failures I'd caution shoppers to avoid this door - and potentially this brand. I just don't know how prevalent this problem is.

Purchased this product in Feb. and decided to finally install it this past weekend, with the help from a 5 and 6 year old. An ease to install, and this door look beyond beautiful, and the kids love it. I would recommend this door to anyone. I dont have to deal with the sun hitting the door so I don't have to deal with the noise the other review stated. My house faces the North and has an over hang over the door.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by shall This door is absolutely beautiful. The picture does not do it justice. It was easy to install and only took a few hours.
The door has a tight seal and closes quietly. It brings in light to my dark hallway, but I have not noticed any heat from the door. It was easy to install and only took a few hours. The door arrived well packaged and in very good condition.

The glass oval has pulled away from the door, and it (the door) is broken. An expensive door, as this, should last. And, not to mention, but I will, it costs a lot to have a door framed and installed.
