Is the size of the actual door 38 x 82 inches or the standard 36 x 80 inches?

Asked by: Pam
The size listed is the actual prehung unit size( 37.5" x 81.625"), it would be considered a nominal size of 36 x 80.( Slab size is 35-3/4" x 79")

is this an impact door
Asked by: rayde
No, This is not an impact rated door- would require shutters. We do offer a line of impact rated product for HVHZ areas, would be a special order at your local store.

I have this door and the screws that hold the ring around the glass have broken How do i order a replacement ring for my door

Asked by: Karla
You can go to your local store, they can call in an order to our customer service dept. to quote. Just have a photo of the glass/frame so we can understand which type of door. Thanks

37.5 in. x 81.625 in. Silverdale Brass 3/4 Oval Lite Stained Cherry Mahogany Right-Hand Fiberglass Prehung Front Door is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from finish technoligy needs improvement purchased my door 5 years ago. installed by Home Depot Vendor. Today the door looks terrible, finish blistering off, but side panel looks very good, told by FeatherRiver that instructions to put a polyurethane coating on every 2 years, but not told this at time of purchase at store or I wouldn't have bought it, and its also not in there brochure.Paint only Warranteed for 2 years. Id expect that from a wood door, not a fiberglass door.ive asked a few people if they coated there door every 2 years, was told NO, never heard that. I found the door looks good and nice craftsmanship overall, because of maintence id never buy another door from them

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Door Purchased this product in Feb. and decided to finally install it this past weekend, with the help from a 5 and 6 year old. An ease to install, and this door look beyond beautiful, and the kids love it. I would recommend this door to anyone. I dont have to deal with the sun hitting the door so I don't have to deal with the noise the other review stated. My house faces the North and has an over hang over the door.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Energystar rated, but Well finished and lockset holes lined up with frame. I live in a hot climate zone so my reasons for buying this door was addressing heat. My door faces west and gets full afternoon sun. Direct sunlight heats up interior glass of triple pane feature quite high. I expected better temperature control. Triple pane or double pane glass works best when not exposed to direct sunlight for resisting heat transfer. When sunlight first hits glass the door/glass the door makes popping sound as it expands, when sunlight moves off door/glass more popping sounds occur as it cools and sound continues into evening. Sounds like a small pebble hitting the glass. Pretty annoying. I have owned this door 13 months. It is a pretty door both from the outside and inside, but noisy when it expands and contracts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Five years later!! Home Depot sold us this door, the installation, and a storm door "to protect your new door". Nobody mentioned that the manufacturer does NOT RECOMMEND a storm door be installed, nor did they mention that THE DOOR SHOULD NOT BE INSTALLED WITH A SOUTH OR WEST EXPOSURE! After two years of making certain that the storm door glass was lowered during the day, the window failed. It is held in with ADHESIVE, not any mechanical support system! The door gets hot from the sun, the adhesive softens, the glass slides downward until it actually breaks the plastic trim ring. It was replaced under warranty, but we were told it would not be replaced again. It broke again a few days ago. As an added disappointment, five years of exposure has rendered the finish to a very cheap-looking plastic sheen. DO NOT BUY THIS DOOR if it will face south or west and do not install a storm door over it. Summary: it was not cheap to buy, but it certainly IS cheaply made. Find something else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful I purchased this door in June and had it hung about two weeks ago. It is beautiful and has enhanced the appearance of my home. I love problem, the glass should be tinted or be an option. People can see inside my house when the inside light is on in the entry way. I am trying to have it tinted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prefinished fiberglass doors--excellent choice! I read previous review about door in direct sunlight. All doors with glass will have this issue. Florida sun is so intense it will also burn off the clear coat on the surface of these doors. Reccomendation-clear polyurethane the door finish every year and add titanium film to outside of glass to elimnate the glass popping issue. This should only be installed under a 6 ft overhang without direct sunlight

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This door is absolutely beautiful. The picture does not do it justice. It was easy to install and only took a few hours. The door has a tight seal and closes quietly. It brings in light to my dark hallway, but I have not noticed any heat from the door. It was easy to install and only took a few hours. The door arrived well packaged and in very good condition.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from PRETTY PICTURES DO NOT TELL THE TRUE STORY The glass oval has pulled away from the door, and it (the door) is broken. An expensive door, as this, should last. And, not to mention, but I will, it costs a lot to have a door framed and installed.
