Customer Questions & Answers

My front door is in direct sun for 8-10 hours per day. Is this door with sidelites a good choice for me?

Asked by: Grammy
Light Oak would be a better choice in direct sun vs. a darker finish. So this would be a good choice.

Does the glass insert in all three pieces measure the same? EX: door 12" glass, sidelights 12" glass, door 14" glass, sidelights 14" glass.

Asked by: Terry
Yes, the glass inserts are all the same size on the door.

2x6 entry wall

I need the door jamb to accommodate a 2x6 frame for the door. How do I order this door with a larger door jamb? And what would be the price for this door to order.
Asked by: Paul
We do have a 6-9/16" jamb option available, this would be available as a special order at a Home Depot store.

63.5 in.x81.625 in. Medina Zinc Center Arch Lite Stained Walnut Oak Left-Hand Fiberglass Prehung Front Door w/ Sidelites is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It made it to Norway! I had this door shipped all the way to Norway, and it made it here ok! The house isn't finished yet, but I'm sure it will look great once it's in place! It looks really good in real life!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Jamrot after only four years. Bought a door very similar to this one in 2010. Went to paint it again ( every two years like I was told by the HD installers) a few months ago and found jamrot at the bottom of the frame. Thinking it was covered in the ten year warranty like it said, I called the company. A few months later I spoke to someone in the warranty department, who told me to email a few pictures. I ended up sending an Iphone video showing me pushing my finger into the door frame up to the first knuckle. I was told later by the same person in the warranty department that the video wasn't good enough to accurately show the damage, however it was good enough to show that the jam had rotted from the inside out because the " mullion wasn't caulked". Who buys a $2200 door and smears caulking all over the joints? I asked the HD installers if I needed to do anything when they were done. They told me to be sure and paint the frame every two years , and polyurethane the fiberglass every two years. The door sags in the frame, and one of the sidelights leaked during the first rain storm. It was replaced free of charge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best entry door Turned out to be a very beautiful door. I had to have a contractor install it and replace the header and widen the frame do to the original door was not a standard size. This turned out to be a very sound quality door well balanced easily opens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice door We looked at a lot of doors that were nice, maybe nicer, but, for about double the cost. This door has had mixed reviews, but my install is under a porch covering and will not see the elements (those were some of the negative reviews). It arrived via the trucking company secured tightly on a wooden pallet standing upright. Now perhaps I also had a good shipper, but this thing was well packed for truck shipping. It will take the full delivery time they state, mine was shipped from Pennsylvania to Washington state. The door itself has a nice wood-like grain, totally pre-hung. The base board (under the threshold) is plastic and should hold up to the elements for other people (maybe that's an improvement based on some previous reviews?) The door was square with no warping and the instructions were easy to follow. The hardest part you may encounter doing this yourself is removing the old door. Make sure you have some shims ready and your new door knob set purchased, I used shims and scrap wood as my opening was a little wide. I then sealed the whole thing in with spray foam and just a few nails. Very solid install.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beautiful quality door High quality and exceptional appearance, this door was a great purchase. I'm hopeful that the color and finish will hold up to the elements and the test of time. The item was packed and wrapped extremely well. It was delivered to my home in perfect condition.
