Answer:
The doors are not prepped for panic bars or hardware. Non hinge side of door will have a lock block to support hardware but hinge side does not, this area would need to have some type of thru bolt support.

Can I get this door as an outswing with the right door as the active side (outside looking at the doors) and just the one door having holes for the locks ? and is there an additional cost for the options?

On having the 4 holes for locks, how is the doors secured? would both dead bolts / door handles get in the way of each other?

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Very functional I bought this door because my old door didn't open smoothly. This one initially went in easily but tuning it up to open and close easily was difficult. There really isn't much space where the doors come together and the strike plate is just big enough to make it difficult to close. The door is nice and big and hangs nicely. I'm looking forward to being able to get big stuff in and out of my basement easily. February 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Upgrade! This beautiful set of doors has really improved the look and feel of our home. The material and finish are superb! In fact, we decided not to paint them at all because they are so beautiful on their own. We both feel a sense of safety and security we didn't feel before; these doors are heavy and solid. They project a feeling of elegance, quiet, and total safety. We would heartily recommend these doors to anyone who wants to upgrade the look of his or her home! September 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice doors Picked these doors up at the store because I didn't want to pay the extra delivery cost. I was impressed the way they were packaged, on a pallet standing straight up with cribbing all around, no damage. They fit perfectly into the framing of my house, measurements were spot on. The doors look great and seal nicely. These doors did come with four holes. I am very happy with my purchase and would reccomend these doors. For the price they are a great selection. June 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Door This is a BEAUTIFUL door. We have an old house with ancient sidelites. So, When we wanted to replace the drafty door, the opening was too large for modern doors with sidelites. Even the double door was not quite large enough. However, with some frame work, we got it in there. We got this door on a GREAT sale. The only thing that makes me nervous is that double doors in themselves are not as secure being that you can kick right in the middle, so we purchased a french door security reinforcement set for $100. That makes then feel SUPER secure. We have gotten so many compliments on these doors and the draft is GONE! It makes the entire front and inside of the house look different. January 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible! Doors are drafty, home depot techs couldn't correct the issues. Rep from manufacturer said they're not meant to "seal" January 29, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice door although the top trim was broken when unpacked! Had door in in a day, that included demolishing the 0riginal, still working on trimming and caulking. Really ordered the door on value and the one review it had. August 5, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best design As you can see on the picture, there are 4 holes shown for hardware and there is no option to choose between 2 and 4. The door arrived with 2 holes only. The installer said that it’d be an extra charge to drill the second pair of holes. There are a couple of seals that along the vertical closing edge that are made of flimsy foam and get easily torn. It’s a maddening experience to install the plugs in the screw holes in the trim around the glazing. The door just lacks the overall substantial feel, however I assume this is to be expected for the price range of the product. August 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good value, nice door Bought this during 20% off promotion for about $600. Came in about 2 weeks. Looks better than expected. Thought about buying other doors with oval glasses in the middle but chose this one since this is safer without glasses near handle. Overall is a good deal. Higher recommended. The picture on website shows two holes on each slab so I bought an extra pair of dummy handle set. It came with only two holes on active door. So no need to buy dummy handle set though it makes the door look nicer. Higher recommended. Only complaint is the shipping fee of $99 is quite expensive October 23, 2013
