I have twelve of these in the master bathroom above the mirrors. The originals where all 40 Watt so to have each be just around 5 watt makes for a big reduction in use of electricity. I have gone around my home and replace all my old bulbs with LED. The cost is high but I have already seen a drop in my power usage so as time goes by I will realize my savings. I am hoping the LED will last longer than the original incandesants which some where 16 years old and still working. I think the advertising for these new tech light bulbs are a joke on how long they last when some of the original incandesants originally invented are still working more than a hundred years later!

These lights are absolutely not soft white. I have been converting my house to LED for awhile and I can promise you that I know what soft white is. The level of light produced by the bulbs is exactly what I am looking for, but the color looks horrible with the rest of my bulbs being soft. If soft white is your current color please don't purchase this product. On the other hand, if you're looking for the new white/blue light in a "soft" brightness then these bulbs are 100% what you need. I now have to purchase 12 more LED bulbs... tons of fun.

I purchased 2 of these bulbs (they are available individually at another retailer), and with the current $5 off coupon available from OPG they are a relative bargain at approx $5 each. Yes, the colour is slightly cooler than "warm white" (3000K vs 2700K) but it's not noticeable to me. They provide plenty of light, turn on instantly, and I see no obvious flicker when used to replace the 40W bulbs in my refrigerator.
