Are these suitable for use in a fridge ( Instant On )

I want to replace the GE bulbs in our fridge with these. GE no longer makes a 2.5 watt LED - and this seems like a good substitute. I want one with a warmer color ( eg: 3000k vs 5000k ).

I tried a different LED, and it isn't "Instant On" it takes a second to activate. However that LED is also 5w, and I think the Max for this fridge is 4w. I don't know enough about LEDs if "Instant On" is a separate feature for a bulb.

I also want to make sure this can be used in 37 degree temperature without problems.

Answer:
As I said the max for the fridge is 4w, so a 7w bulb won't work for me.

Answer:
Try using a 40 watt equivalent LED which should use less than 7 watts of electricity. And the prices have dropped to less than $8 ... at Home Depot, of course.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Save on electricity! We are converting every light bulb in our house over to LEDs, for three reasons. One, they consume about 15% of the electricity of conventional incandescent bulbs. Two, they last and last, somewhere between 20,000 and 50,000 hours. Three, they give off very little heat. So, if you have antique lamps, like we do, they protect the fragile nature of the lamps. This 25 watt equivalent bulb uses about 3 watts of electricity. We have it in an antique lamp in the front hall. Because it uses so little electricity, we leave it on all night, strictly for safety reasons. June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice gentle light Firstly, I wanted 3000K because 2700K is too yellow to me. These are very natural light. I got these for 3 pendants above my bar. These shine right in the face of those sitting there so I needed something gentle. These are perfect for that. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I love this light bulb but HD sent me the wrong ones I have replaced the majority of lights in our house with this 2 watt bulb and save significant amounts of money on our electric bill as a result. I tried all kinds of energy efficient bubs before finding this one. It is a strong light for the wattage, and has a natural soft light that so many lack. It is a great price and a great bulb. Unfortunately when I ordered this on line, what I received in my box was a refrigerator bulb from the same company which is brighter than what I needed for the spot I had ordered them for. I was able to switch them around to make it work. Someone at Home Depot needs to check orders before they go out. April 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase Just right for my bathroom mirror, not too bright when using multiple. March 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bulbs for use in Marine interior reading lamps been using is a retrofit application with no known problems December 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good LED lamps for interior overhead for tables. This wattage led lamp... perfect for overhead chandlers (3 lamps) over dinning and kitchen tables where the lamps point down ward. Higher wattage lamps are harsh. October 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great little LED bulbs Great little LED bulbs, but not the lowest in cost. But perfect for the refrigerator or areas that need moderate lighting but looking for using low wattage (2 watts, amazing) bulbs, like a porch light that you leave on all night. The frosted bulb provide even lighting and the small diameter was also perfect for a bathroom fan/light fixture. I also would use them once again for a room light where I wanted to leave a light on for background lighting so the room is not dark. 2 watts verses a 25 watt incandescent allows you to have several background lights on yet still cut overall electricity usage. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Flickering I usually do not write reviews, but I just replaced ALL indoor and most outdoor bulbs in my home with LEDs, and I wished there were more reviews because some LEDs worked well and others did not. I was looking for low light bulbs mostly for posts and nighttime security without being too bright. Unfortunately, these 25W LEDs did not satisfy me. I bought two and both flicker annoyingly, and that's in a standard socket (no photocell, no dimmer). I also purchased another brand's low wattage LED for the same purpose, which did work well with no flickering. However, most other FEIT LEDs are still nice, and this was the only one of theirs that let me down. January 17, 2014
