Dimmable in description, do not use with dimmers on product

Hesitant to order as I’m reading “Dimmable" in description while seeing "do not use with dimmers" on a picture of the product itself on this website. So which is it?
Asked by: JDSanDiego
it says it's dimmable on the package. I use it in a high/low exhaust fan. On high it works as expected, but i find a a faint rapid flicker is present on the lower brightness setting for me.

Not dimmable via normal switch dimmers

Though the Home Depot site indicates that these bulbs as dimmable the manufactures web site indicates that these are only dimmable via the HomeBrite App on your smart phones. Has anyone tried using a standard wall switch dimmer to control theses bulbs. Again the manufacturers site indicates that normal wall dimmers will lead to prematue bulb failure. Has anyone else had experience with these bulbs in a non HomeBrite situtation an dimmer???
Asked by: Vinny
In my home, these are being dimmed by Lutron switches which are electronic. However, I can't see any reason why you couldn't use a standard dimmer. I will say that in a group of 8, the electronic dimmer may not have enough of a load for the lamps to completely go out. Leaving a single halogen bulb in the string will go out. Yea,h this sorta defeats the purpose. If the total amount of wattage presented to the electronic dimmer exceeds 35 watts, as it does in one of my strings, the electronic switch will turn bulbs completely off. This Feit Electric 35W Equivalent Sof White LED bulb uses 4.1 watts. Add up the total number of bulbs controlled by the electronic switch. If the total load is better than 35 watts, the string should dim completely out.

I would like to install these in the recessed cans in my kitchen but every led bulb i have tried is way too bright when dimmed down. How low do these dim?
Asked by: ed
LED technology doesn't seem to have arrived at the point where lights dim all the way out. Electronic dimmers are especially problematic in that even in the fully "dimmed" position, a string of LED lamps remain partially illuminated. A work-around is to include one tungsten or halogen lamp in the string of LEDs in your ceiling. An old rheostat-type dimmer can be more successful. However, as you lower the dimmer, the LEDs will go down, but only to a point. After that they will simply go out. I believe that eventually a way will be found to allow the LED lamps to dim gracefully.

Gives out great light, bulb is cool to the touch and should save on electric since it rated to use only 4.1 watts of energy. Will replace my other 35 watt bulbs, in the fixture, with these as they blow out. Hopefully they last as long as they say they should or close to it.

I am sure that this bulb will last as long as advertised and save energy but I don't like that it only lights from the top. I would recommend only replacing bulbs where you want to light specific areas or a narrow range. The photos are of the led bulb and the original bulbs for comparison.

They run cool unlike the halogen which would burn you if you touched them. Excellent product if they last as long as they claim.
