After going through five of these for our bedroom ceiling fan in < 2 years, we searched and found adapters that allows you to use traditional screw-in bulbs. Save yourself some time / money & invest in GU24 to E26 / E27 Adapters.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by squakmatic These Bulbs fail all the time!
I bought two fixtures (6 bulbs total) that require this bulb for my kitchen. In less than two years I've already had to replace 3 of the 6 bulbs. At $7 per bulb this is much more expensive than if I used a standard bulb!
DO NOT BUY A FIXTURE THAT USES THESE BULBS!!!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LW17 Hard to Find Item
This item with its special push and twist pin base was hard to find, but I can always count on Home Depot for these hard to find items. This CFL is the perfect bulb for my outside porch light and last for more than a year burning 24/7.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by plichten Don't expect these to last long
I'm stuck buying these thanks to a fixture I purchased from another home improvement store.
The fixture is my primary lighting source in the kitchen and has 4 of these bulbs. If one goes out, you notice the difference, so I always keep an extra on hand.
The fixture runs probably 5 - 6 hours a day, every day. As per the specifications on HomeDepot.com, the manufacturer warranty is 10,000 hours. Figuring 5hrs X 7 Days = 35hrs / wk. These bulbs normally blow out in about 4 - 6 months at 35hrs/wk.
Finishing the math (if I did this correctly), 10,000 hrs / 35hrs/wk = approx 285 weeks that these bulbs should last. 285 weeks is 5.5years. If my math is correct, these are failing way before the manufacturer says they should.
My only problem is I always end up losing my receipts. The next time I purchase one, I need to remember where the receipt was.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Granny22 Spiral CFL Light Bulb
Light works but we picked up the ones that say "daylight". Do NOT get this type for inside your home, the lighting is obnoxious, it gives off a glow that makes everything appear dirty and drab, makes a very depressing atmosphere. Yes this is due to the lighting,we had to remove the bulbs and run out to pick up some others, We literally could not stand it. Before we got them replaced anyone that went into the room with this lighting left very quickly and made very negative comments on the lighting. It is not an appealing option for indoor lighting at all. Other lighting options in the same bulb may be good but the "daylight" one may be best for outdoor lights as that is where I will use the ones I purchased.

be careful when buying light fixtures so you don"t buy one with this type of bulb. If I ever see the "electrician" who installed this garbage, i'll give my next review from Pontiac.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tony Too expensive. This is the only bulb that will fit this can light.
This bulb is the only one that fits this fixture. The can light has been discontinued and now I have to spend $7 per bulb when they burn out. They only last about two years not anywhere near 7.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by mike did not fit panasonic vent/light
I have a Panasonic bathroom vent fan with two GU24 sockets, and it came with those ugly "daylight" color bulbs that look blue to me. These bulbs have the same pin configuration, but the base is different. That's the white part that's about 1.5 inches tall, that the pins stick out of. The ones that came with the fixture have a slight taper to them, and these don't. The difference is, though they're both GU24, these won't fit. Grrrr. Back to the store they go.
