I got 2 packs of 12. They are decent bulbs and take a bit to warm up which is expected. One would not turn on in a pack of 12 right out of the box but more troubling is that one died just after 2 weeks of average use. I though these things were supposed to last 7 years!

Bought the 12 pack last year, replacing hallway and kitchen lights that get used typically less than 4 hours a day. Had to replace these Feit Electric bulbs twice within that year, even though they claim 10,000 hour lifespan. The cheap 700 hour incandescent bulbs on the same switch are over 3 years old.

These bulbs, are like most other Feit products, absolute junk. They take a while to warm up to full brightness, never really get to the brightness they are supposed to get to, and are nowhere near their advertised lifetime. I have been taking a steady stream of these supposed 10 year bulbs to the Home Depot recycle box after a year. Home Depot would do well to ditch all products from this company until they improve their quality. Rated one star only because they won't let me go to zero or negative.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by ArbitraryCorsair Great Product. Brighter than expected
Very good product. Much brighter than expected compared to a standard bulb though. Looks great in the lamps with shades or covers that reduce the harshness of the light. In the future I will likely be buying a weaker bulb than my lamps recommend for any uncovered light fixtures. I definitely recommend getting them here though. I can't find them in as large packages elsewhere and they seem to be universally more expensive at other types of retail stores.

This is my second favorite compact fluorescent, after the house-brand CFL's Home Depot sells, which brighten a little faster.
Like the ecosmarts, these start to come on almost instantly, but are noticeably dimmer a couple seconds later. After a couple minutes, they both warm up to similar brightness levels. I have some from other stores that take several seconds to produce any light at all, and also take several minutes to warm up to full brightness.
I know some people have trouble with these bulbs dying prematurely. I've not experienced this. I have about 2/3 of my 12-pack installed, and I'd estimate some of them have over 4000 hours of use. None of mine have died so far.
Note, however, that fluorescent bulbs wear out quickly when turned on and off for short periods of time, so they're not well suited for bathrooms and closets. All of mine are in rooms where the lights tend to stay on for more than 15 minutes like the common areas and bedrooms. Some homes, especially with older wiring, also have problems with electrical interference that can wear out the electronic ballasts in these bulbs, so when trying a new brand of high efficiency bulbs (interference issues apply to LED's, too, but the short on-off time issues do not), I recommend buying just one or two to try for a couple months before swapping out a large number of them.
