For the most part they were intact except for 2 bulbs which had splintered. I think it was due to the packaging material. Paper and popcorn nuggets were scattered about the box and didn't offer the protection that bubble wrap would have afforded. I'm satisfied with the remaining bulbs as they are precisely what I've been using in the recessed lighting fixtures. The price is very reasonable.

The first time I ordered these bulbs, some were broken and the package was refused. Home Depot immediately refunded without question, so I decided to give it one more try. The second time none were broken and all 24 were in good condition. I like the bulbs and they are rated to last over 5000 hours. I will test that over time. I have ordered more of these bulbs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lower light output at 120 volts Careful - Rated at 685 lumens and 65 watts, but this is at 130 volts. On a standard 120 volt line the expected lifetime goes up from 2000 to 5600 hrs (as they advertize), BUT the light output drops to about 520 lumens (which they "forgot" to tell you). To be fair, power consumption drops to 57 watts. A standard 65 watt incandescent BR40 is about 630 lumens. OK cheap bulb if you don't need the light, but halogen-based BR40s give much more light at the same power consumption (watts).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big savings The "24-pack" wasn't exactly true, it came as 4 six-packs... much easier to store and access. This price was $49, the next-higher I found in my web search was $36 for a 12-pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 7 years!!! And still going! 7 years now! I bought these for my basement lighting 7 years ago! I originally bought them because they were a really good value. Over time I discovered that 130v light bulbs are longer lasting. Well... I really am happy with this purchase. If they all go out tomorrow, I am still happy. I will ONLY put these light bulbs from here on in any recessed lighting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BR40 reflector Bulbs Great way to get a large supply of bulbs at an affordable cost per bulb. One bulb was bad on installation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't go wrong with Feit bulbs. I've been using these bulbs for several years. The 130V rating does make a difference in the life of the bulb. I have 18 ft ceilings with 20 bulbs. I do not want to have to change these bulbs every year. I use these bulbs for about 5 hours a day on average (65W BR40 bulbs). I'm going on three years without having to replace them yet. Great deal. I hope Home Depot continues to keep selling these. Take note: you get a far better deal when you buy the 24pk vs the 12 pk. I had to order online for the 24 pk.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor illumination I have purchased many brands of light bulbs before, and even though Feit is not as well known a brand as some others, most of their bulbs are pretty good. Their BR 30 bulbs and some of their CFL energy saver bulbs are quite good, with good illumination. These Feit BR 40's are disappointments, though, as they provide poor illumination, even though they cost half as much as some other brands, aren't worth purchasing, because they hardly light up the area. I put the same brand Feit BR 40's and the smaller BR 30's in the same room, and the smaller BR 30's provided much better illumination than these BR 40's. I was not happy with this purchase.
