I ordered 3 of these 12-bulb packages directly off homedepot.com. Homedepot.com site claims these are 120 W replacement CFLs. However, what arrived from the manufacturer is a 90 W replacement (23 W actual) bulb. I spoke with a representative from Feit customer service who informed me that to meet Energy Star approval these bulbs had to be repackaged as 90 W replacements. He claimed these are the exact same bulb as I had ordered a year and a half ago from homedepot.com that were labelled 120 W equivalents: same 1300 lumens, same estimated life span, same 23 W power consumption, same model number in fact ESL23PAR38H/ECO. Since I was replacing a regular 120 W bulb with a CFL, I wanted a 120 W replacement, not a 90 W. Home Depot needs to clarify the product description to be truthful. If truly these are the same exact bulb as I purchased 1.5 years ago, I can assure you the quality of the bulbs themselves is excellent, hence the purchase of additional of the same for my new house with even more can lights!

A far better idea than expensive LED bulbs, with nearly the same power savings

Great flood lights that put out a wide even light. This is accomplished by using clear glass on the front with a diffuser pattern and a polished silver reflector surface. This is more efficient for putting out light. Some may not like the clear shiny glass on the front but it doesn't bother me.
The 2700K light color is very pleasing to the eye. Time to full brightness is just under one minute.

I have never had one of these bulbs last more then Two years
I have replaced the two front bulbs going on the fourth time since 2004
I bought a twelve pack and need to use them up before I buy a different brand.
These are in our kitchen recessed lighting and average 4 hours a door maximum
Two other CFLS that are part of the kitchen are now over eight years old, were installed when the house was built.
and have never been replaced made by a different manufacture
On the same circuit same switch but with different brand bulb.

These are good CFL lights. They get to full brightness quickly, although not as fast as incandescent lights. I am using them in a kitchen in a bank of 8 recessed lights. I reinstalled 2 incandescent bulbs for instant illumination and use 6 CFLs for economy. This balance works well.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Verified Reviewer Says 'Instant On' in the description...not so
I searched for an 'Instant On' cfl floodlight. These came up and at a great price. These lights are NOT instant on. They take the same amount of time to 'warm up' as the non-instant on cfl lights. This is the only disappointment thus far. I just installed them today so I have no longevity report but if you are looking for 'Instant On' then look elsewhere.
