Answer:
You really don't need the hose. I usually toss it when I get the pole sander. I use a sump pump discharge hose that fits the end of the pole. It's cheap and i've never worn one out yet. You can cut it to any length that works for the job. Hook the other end to a vacuum and go to work. The sanding pad should be doing the work not the pole. Rated 2.8 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works like it's suppose to. It's fussy to sand and not get lines. But it is nearly dustless. December 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by What a mess! We have been shipped two of these sanders. Both were broken when we received them. The second time through we told the person we talked to that we would keep it and try glueing it as he said there weren't any in stock to replace it with. Our first experience with shopping online with home depot was not good!!! August 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very great purchase. I am a carpenter of over 30 years and I have owned 2 of theses same sanders over the last 20 years or so. It works as well as the more expensive sanders. this will be the 3rd one I bought . the only reason I needed to buy this one is because the last one was stepped on and broken. If you don't know how to sand drywall mud then you should'nt. If you break the sander then you are doing it wrong. Please hire a professional. November 14, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by This is a light duty tool The concept is excellent but the practicality is poor at best. It does what it advertises - keeps GWB dust to a minimum, however the one that I bought snapped off right below the sanding pad after a few uses and I have not been able to reattach it. Not with epoxy, tape or wire, or any combination of the three. The small vacuum hand sander is great but the pole sander needs more improvement. I would NOT buy another one or recommend it until significant improvements have been made. December 13, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by homeowner - 1x only I absolutely agree with the other review. I have had 3 poles - complaint and replacement; all of them have broken at the same flimsy plastic head attachment. Good for one or two sands, not good for repeated use. January 9, 2014
