Answer:
Mesh will easily replace any loose tape, provided you remove any existing loose tape and plaster/mud. A "V" trowel which allows you to skim a new coat on both the wall and ceiling at the same time, will give you a smooth and even layer across both surfaces at the same time.

Answer:
yeah...the trick will be in the mudding part...so cut the paper tape where it is starting to show and becoming loose (you should see the seem of the drywall), put the mesh tape on and be ready to apply you compound and sanding (repeat if necessary for smooth surface)
Hope that helps...not an expert, so only speaking from experience (also, plenty of examples on youtube)

Answer:
Yes this is my favorite place to use it. Remove old paper tape with blade carefully then press on the fibra tape to the vertical wall. Then use a small piece of wood with a sharp corner to make a perfect ninety degree line. Then apply the mud and sand as normal.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use and stays in place. Be careful when beginning roll as edge fiber can cone off and then you always have this hanging strand to contend with as you unroll the product. October 25, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's tape, good for beginners. Easy to install, follow the directions and it will work as described. I'm a beginner and this product was easy to apply and cover. Paper tape is preferable and with some experimentation you can get that looking good. Had to do the corners with paper so I mixed and matched. July 26, 2016
