Customer Reviews

Fiberglass Screen Repair Kit is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Repairs the tear, but be aware . . . Although it appears to be a patch made of screening material to cover a hole in a window or door screen, it's actually tape, with a lattice that looks like screening material (and may actually be so). When it's applied, the adhesive tape covers the entire area of the patch, with the result that airflow is blocked where the patch is. Mine were two small holes (each < 1/4") in a second-story window screen that won't receive much scrutiny, so I went with the tape; cutting a patch into two 1-1/2" square patches worked fine, and didn't create an air-dam of any significance when applied. The lattice on the tape does help it to blend in, aesthetically, and the end result is not too terribly noticeable. The tape is quite sturdy material, and the adhesive backing created a very good bond with the screening that I was repairing. Now, to see how well it weathers . . . FYI, the package contains five patches (which, at this time, is not made clear on the website), each 3" x 3" square.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Screen patch repair kit sku 729561 While I was in the store looking at these patches (5) they look real. My dissatisfaction was when I opened the pack at home. The patch is really just a 3" X 3" piece of tape with a fiberglass screen, no air passes through. While on the 3rd and 4th patch the backing with the sticky portion did not adhere to the patch so the screened patch had no stick. I could have just placed a transparent tape on the screen for pennies on the dollar and saved the $2.45 Poor appearance- expensive- cheap quality. save your money and buy the real screen patch and glue it on yourself.
