Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BriBri An affordable programmable
This is a big improvement over my standard thermostat, which you could not program. It has 4 settings per day, morning, day, evening and night. Once you set one day, you can copy to a single or multiple days. If you can read instructions, it isn't that hard to program. It has instructions and labels to install also, but I hired a handyman/electrician to install, as this is not the time of year to be without A/C in FL, and I am not the most adept at electrical issues.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by lambition Looks cool and cheap, but bad side finish.
First of all, the picture shown at home depot website is outdated. New model does not have cover over buttons and buttons look very different. Check picture from their website. I want to give link to it, but home depot rejected my review for wiring URL.
At first impression this thermostat looked cool with blue back-light.
However, having so many buttons exposed make it look very complicated.
Also, sides do not have cover and you can see a deep voids on each side of thermostat. It looks very ugly from sides.
On the top, you can actually see wires entering thermostat because there is nothing covering it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Chris Excellent deal for the cost associated.
The filtrete 7 day programmable thermostat is an excellent deal. The wide array of features, as well as multiple heating/cooling systems it can run was a great choice for our office. We had a $300 cost savings in our first full month of using it. The only drawback I see is that it does not switch automatically between heating and cooling, but the price easily outweighed the drawback.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Roxtar Great digital thermostat!
This products works great. Setup is easy. Just followed the instructions as stated in the manual. You're able to have different temperature settings for each day and 4 time periods per day. Product design is different than the image shown in the home depot webpage. Now it has the buttons covered which gives it a cleaner look. Overall this is a great product!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by SiteReader Most frustrating thermostat I've ever used
So frustrating to use. I have three in my house for the different heating zones. Trying to change program is always a frustration. Trying to set the Program 2 for vacation is totally frustrating. One of the most annoying features is that after programming and then pressing "Home" to confirm, it goes into dark mode and will not revive for about a minute. Just when you want to check if the program "took," it will not respond. Really, with the level of digital technology we have today, this thing is an outmoded POJ. I've had these in my house for 2.5 years now. Mostly I just let them be. Someday I will replace with something more functional.

good thermostats. only problem is you have to put in new batteries if they get to low. if not you can burn the thermnostat. has happened to me twice. I couldn't find this thermostat at homedepot or at the other competitor store (starts with an L). i think it;s miscontinued. I bought a honeywell thermostat reasonably the same price. but i've notice the honeywell does not save energy!! i keep records of energy usage since i bought my house. i have notice a dramatic use of energy compared to the same months in past years.. I am looking for this 3M thermostat because it saved me energy. do not buy the HONEYWELL, its not a good energy saver.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Floyd Piece of junk!
I picked this one up a bit over a year ago. Called help line to sort out installation. Spent a lot of time on hold.
Now, it is dead. Fortunately, it chose a relatively mild time to die -- not 110 degrees outside or 10 degrees outside.
I swapped batteries. Checked all batteries with voltmeter and they are good. Also reset the thermostat with the reset button. And, I shut off the handler and everything at circuit box. It is most definitely the thermostat. The display is totally dead. The only switch that works is the one to turn the fan on to circulate the too-warm air through the house.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by shelby Not bad
The first one that we bought was defective. We spent hours trying to get it to work before my husband would call the 1-800# to find out that's what was wrong. Went back to HD the next day and bought another one, and it works pretty well. It was really easy to install-our wires were actually correctly color coded for the spot it connected to, so we didn't need the stickers. The second package didn't have any directions or anything inside, and the "simple" function doesn't seem to work, but we're ok with that. The thermostat seems to work pretty well so far, but we haven't had any extreme weather yet. I would recommend this product.
