Assembly was easy enough and took me about 30-40 minutes to put together. I did however think the instructions could have been a bit more clear, but if you have any mechanical sense you'll have no problem. Once together you can see it's a good looking heater. The Mocha color is darker than I expected but still very attractive and will blend well with almost any decor. The small table top is a nice add-on and works well when entertaining. The ignitor works great and the heat output is very good. One thing to take note of is the height. If you plan to use this under a covered patio you should have plenty of clearance.

The Patio Heater was easy to put together, after following the directions I put the heater together myself. I immediately loved the mocha color, it completes the patio with a stylish look. With 46,000 BTUs it really puts out heat. I was able to sit on the back porch tonight, in 40 degree weather and feel hot. My son came outside in his shorts and sat at the table and said it feels really warm. It is very stable, I placed sand in the bottom base and It was solid. The tanks are easy to exchange. It uses a 20lb LPG tank (not included). The adjustable table is great for putting drinks or food on. I put some food on it and the food kept warm. It has two wheels on the bottom, for ease of movement and placement. I would recommend the Fire sense commercial patio heater, you will enjoy the look and feel

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hurwizzle Easy-to-assemble, good heat output
The Fire Sense 46,000 BTU Mocha and Stainless Steel Propane Gas Commercial Patio Heater with Adjustable Table is a classy piece of equipment that puts out a fair bit of heat. To be honest, I couldn't really feel the heat if I was more than 5 feet away from it (set on high) in 15-degree weather. I believe that if you had a few of these placed around a gathering, especially if you have a tent or umbrella overhead to help keep in the heat, they would be very effective. On its own, though, I'm not sure the Heater is worthwhile.
The Heater was very easy to assemble, although there was one step toward the end that would've been much easier with a second set of hands. It uses a standard propane tank (ex: Blue Rhino, Worthington, etc.) - easy to use, but make sure you have money left over after purchasing the Heater so you can get the propane.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by JohnS Works well, but hard to assemble.
This is a good-sized patio heater (46K BTU), so it puts out a good amount of heat for those cooler nights. And it has an added feature of the accessory table. Easy to light and easy to use. Has wheels for quick mobility.
But it was way over-packaged. You will need a utility knife to get everything open. The parts were packaged partially preassembled so it was difficult to determine what hardware screws were used with what parts. The instructions were very poor; wrong at times; mixed-up order of steps. So read carefully through all the steps to save time. It took me 2 hours to assemble; twice as long as suggested (way too long).
There were too many parts/pieces and instructions - complicated assembly.
Once the unit was together, it fired right up and worked well. The igniter was great. No batteries, and easy to use. But the table gets in the way of changing the propane tank. You have to move the table up to get access to the tank.
Finally, there is a ballast at the bottom for stability. They recommend filling with water or sand. I tried water. Do not use water; it leaks everywhere - Use sand. It is more trouble but it will last longer.
The style was a combination of stainless steel and chocolate (mocha) color painted. While it looks nice, I prefer all stainless, and am not sure about longevity of the painted surface.

This heater was difficult to put together based on the instructions, but very cool once it is complete. It is attractive, and puts out a tremendous amount of heat. Perfect for the deck.

I was very excited to receive my order for this item. It arrived & I promptly started the assembly process. The item is shipped, well packed, in a quite compact cardboard & foam box. The stainless heat shield pieces are covered in a blue wrap to protect the surfaces from scratching during transport. I was slightly saddened to see that all 4 pieces that make up the top heat shield were dented in various locations. It appears that this did not occur during transit & were possibly a result of the stamping process.
The package includes a small 10mm & 13mm wrench used for assembly of the components. I found that I also needed a Philips screwdriver as well. The instructions are 'ok' at best. You will need to remove the "water jug" from under the base for the first few steps of assembly (4 Philips screws with recessed nuts). I didn't find this to be a noted step in the assembly instructions. The rest of the assembly goes quite easy. Later in the assembly process I found a need for two adjustable wrenches/pliers to gently tighten the LPG hose couplers.
Why 3-stars & not 4/5-stars?
I found the adjustable table to be a little small. Add another couple inches to the diameter & I'd be very happy. It is large enough to set a drink on, but a little larger would be nice for small size party plates. The adjustment method is ok. Mine is a bit snug sometimes to try & loosen the collar by hand. A little wiggle of the table usually makes things easier.
My other "complaint" is the method of turning on/off the LPG tank. You must raise the table up in order to raise the mocha colored tank shroud so that the valve can be turned on/off. I don't like to leave this valve on when the table isn't in use. Having a small hinged door on this shroud and a slightly larger table would have resulted in 5-stars all the way!
One final note, record your unit's S/N. Once I raised the table up once to turn on the tank, it wore off the S/N label.
Package includes a set of wheels to roll the unit around on. Great for concrete. A little small for grass or dirt/gravel. Unit includes small hold down "spikes" for securing to the ground. The base can also be filled with water for added stability.
Use ... turn on the tank, turn the 'low/High' valve & hold it inward, press the ignite button & release the valve after a few seconds. You've just made a warm fire. Adjust the temp as needed.
I found the heater to be plenty tall even for guests over 6' tall.

UNPACKING & ASSEMBLY
The lamp arrived very well packed, and took a little bit of time to unpack it. Each and every piece was meticulously wrapped to prevent damage during transport. This clearly was effective, as there wasn't a scratch on it anywhere.
The assembly time, however, took quite a bit longer than expected: over an hour and half. I am quite handy, but the instructions were not clear at all. They had small blurry pictures, and no clear indication for the placement of washers. They manual kept referencing screws on other pages, and it just made everything confusing. In addition, there were a number of different screw and nut sizes, causing you to constantly swap wrenches and greatly complicating the installation. This could have been much clearer.
DESIGN & LOOK
The assembled heat lamp is remarkably beautiful. Measuring over 7 feet tall, it is very stoic and elegant, standing there either during the day or at night. It really adds to an outdoor space, and doesn't make it look "cluttered" what so ever.
The adjustable shelf is very well implemented. It comes as an optional accessory, but the adjustability is flawless and easy to use. Its perfect, and i use it all the time. Highly recommended.
The lamp overall really just adds a touch of class to any space.
As far as warmth, this gets an 8 out of 10. At maximum output, it is unbearably hot arm's length away. Yet the heat is much less effective over 6 feet out; barely detectable. The sweet spot seems to be right around 4 feet, meaning that the lamp provides excellent warmth to a diameter of 8 feet. That's pretty awesome. Out in an open space, such as a backyard, this lamp is not nearly as effective as it would be on a porch or semi-enclosed patio, but it still heats nicely.
As far as gas use, i have no idea. I put in a fresh propane tank over a month ago with sporadic use.
The heater was running for a solid 4 hours over Thanksgiving, and it put out a nice, consistent radius of heat to keep a number of us warm. I would say that after about a total of 8 hours use at a high setting, it's still got some life left in the tank.
Assembly was a bit rough, but the final product is awesome. A fantastic looking lamp with good heating results. Highly recommended.
