Customer Questions & Answers

is there a foam pad for under the tub?

The little square of installation instructions says there is. It was unpacked at the store and I'm wondering if it has gone missing. Why are the people/reviewers stating that it cracks. ????? My tub is almost all installed and I am getting very concerned! Thank you for any feedback. Penelope

Has the Quality been improved

I noticed a lot of bad comments about cracking, noting most were 2 or 3 years old, has the manufacturing process improved to relieve this problem
Asked by: Sonny
They fitted a full support under the tub. I set mine over mortar to ensure it's level.

Need Firenze parts

I have a Firenze tub and the center panel of the tub surround. We damaged the two end panels. Can I get just the two end panels (one right and one left)? If so how do I order this?

Customer Reviews

Firenze 5 ft. Left Hand Drain Bathtub in White is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from BAD BUY!!! After 3 years, we are now faced with having to rip the tub out and reinstall another tub. Please read other reviews...this seems to be a common theme. Tub flexes and then eventually gives out, and cracks. We have a nice 6 inch crack- all the way through. Very disappointed,,, a lot of money and time wasted!!!! I will be contacting the manufacturer- this is unacceptable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WORST TUB EVER!!!!! This tub only lasted 3 years and then it CRACKED. When we bought this tub we thought it was a great deal, A large soaking tub for a great price. The issue appears to be the fact the bottom of the tub that sits on the sub floor is made of a 6in thick piece of Styrofoam. The issue is that over time the Styrofoam compresses and creates a soft spot, as that spot flexes over time it creates a small crack. That small crack will then lead to a large expense. There is nothing worse then spending a few thousand dollars on a new tub and nice tile and then 3 years later needing to rip it all out because the tub needs to be replaced. We had to remove our tub surround and replace part of the floor tile to put in a new tub. If you are looking at this tub I would strongly suggest NOT TO BUY THIS TUB!! I replaced the ASB Tub with a Kohler tub and it is by far a much better tub. Its made out of stronger material and the base sits on wood and fiberglass that wont compress over time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great purchase, sturdy bathtub The manufacturer improved the base of this tub, this is now a grid of plastic PVC with an extension to keep the front skirt straight, there is no flex in the base of the tub and it was pretty simple to install, just pay attention to the drain and return dimension, we found out that the 15" indicated was too high, you are closer to 14 than 15. we hope to be able to review this item in 2 or 3 years and report no crack.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Short Lived This tub looked great in the store, seemed fairly sturdy, and installed easily. it began to crack within 6 months and stained very easily. The only good thing I can say about it is, the extra depth was nice when it was still in good shape, but the bad outweighed the good on this one. spend a few bucks more on better quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This tub looked good in the store! The tub was easy enough to install, but within 3 weeks after completion, it developed a crack in the back corner that drenched the basement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy this The tub and surround was installed only a year and half ago, and within a few months there were hairline cracks on the bottom of the tub. We calked with silicone at all the surround joints, as directed and the water somehow gets through. The silicone does not stick well with this surface. So now we have a cracked tub, and walls at the outer edge of the tub that have been ruined by the water that runs along the back of the surround, where water should not be. Thanks a lot. Time for another remodel. Money anyone?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good... Well i purchased this tub 2 years ago. The sales rep said it would be just as good as any other tub... I took out my 60 year old tub and replaced it with this one. Luckily Im in the middle of remodeling my bathroom again (making it bigger) because i just noticed a 6inch crack in the bottom of the tub. I think i put it in 2/12 its now 1/14 didnt even make it 2 years.
