Customer Questions & Answers

Can they protect your hands from splinters from dealing with wood

Asked by: Tae
These are NOT ideal for heavy work. The fabric surrounding the fingers is very thin: splinters and sharp objects won't be stopped. The palm and fingertips, though, do offer some protection. I've done some rough carpentry with these and they're fine for working on plywood and construction lumber. If you'll be doing demo work, you're better off with a pair of good leather gloves or (much more expensive) kevlar gloves.

Do they protect your hands from thorns such as a rose bush thorn?

Example: I have looked at the manual and can't figure out what I did wrong.
Asked by: Ashton
These gloves are not suitable for protection from thorns. Except for the palm and fingertips, the remaining fabric is rather thin and sharp objects can easily penetrate. General gardening work would be fine.

Are they good for electrical work

Asked by: linesman
As long as they fit your fingers they would be good for most of your electric work. NOT made to do detailed work. (i.e. picking up small screws, using small wire nuts, installing cover plates.....)

Would these be good for pulling steel cable gor a winch

Example: I have looked at the manual and can't figure out what I did wrong.
Asked by: Cameron
They would work fine, but for repeated use, I would recommend heavier leather gloves to protect your hands against jaggers.

Then, the stitching around multiple fingers split apart. They were used while shoveling and placing river stones and for general yard work. Residential use only, no commercial. Prior to splitting these were my go to gloves. Fit well, felt good and did a good job of protection. Disappointed that they wore out so quickly. Replacement will be to try the Firm Grip at half this price.

Fully usable with smartphones and touchscreens if the fingertips are clean, which isn't advertised. The breathable fabric is good for warm-weather work. Not good for cold weather, the wind blows right through. Indeed, they are machine-washable; recommend that the buyer applies the velcro strap to the body of the glove before washing, otherwise they will stick to everything in the wash.

They appear very heavy duty and with the price associated with them one would think they would last longer than 5 hrs before the grip on the palms wears out. The seams started falling apart the next day and by midway my finger poked through. So $20 for gloves that didnt last a full day. Stay away unless you're doing minimal work these gloves are terrible

I really like the features of this glove, from the plastic discs that protect your knuckles to the rubber strips that protect the back of your fingers. The issue I have is the seams on the fingers seem to wear out prematurely. I will be returning these for another pair in the hope that it might be an isolated situation.

I was using it to dig into the ground to pull weeds. I liked that they fit snugly and didn't let dirt in at the base, but the hole in the glove made them useless. I only had them about 5-6 months when the hole appeared.

They fit nicely and are not too baggy. The fit is good but the wrist is snug. The first few times putting on these gloves the wrist part is a little tight, but I think it is good now.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as heavy duty as I had hoped Very comfortable but can't really withstand extended hard use. I tried to use them while doing some fence work and they didn't really hold up. Got a couple of hard days out of them then some of the seams started to give. Disappointed because the weren't cheap.
