Customer Questions & Answers

Are they good for handling hot lights?

I am working on film sets and need a good pair of gloves to handle hot lights.
Asked by: Maggie
Maggie: I've never used them for that purpose. I would think they would be good for a few minutes but not for continuous hot light handling. I use mine mainly for yard work and on the big mower. If you are "on set"...those lights get really hot. I would suggest a pair of really heavy leather gloves of cow hide or pigskin...like the truck drivers use....but tough to find in a smaller size...get a pair of soft cotton gloves to wear inside the heavy gloves, as added protection. I use the soft cotton gloves inside my heavy leather gloves in the winter for yard work. ...keeps my hands warmer. good luck.

Is this pair cut resistant?

Asked by: Hkos
I basically use these for yard work...tree trimming, raking, hauling bags of mulch and on the mower handles..etc. So I can't comment on them being cut resistant. However, I notice Home Depot does have cut resistant gloves in the glove section...they appear to have a "chain mail" like consistency. Check them out.

Do you know how to get in contact with the manufacturer of these gloves? The fingers always tear on me.

Asked by: Mbake19
You probably overuse the glove. Mine did tear but after three years of regular summer use when yardwork is daily/weekly activity. Also, try to get a larger size. That might help.

Small General Purpose Work Gloves is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 832.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Look nice but they do not hold up I was so excited to purchase these gloves because they are lightweight and work with a touchscreen. However I didn't even have them for 2 weeks or even get my project finished before a finger came apart like an old glove. The mesh part doesn't hold up. They aren't expensive but I expected them to hold up alot longer.

Easy to work in good grip and dexterity. has touch screen tips that are OK, not great. I like working with gloves and these let me pick up small objects like nails and screws. Try on the size for best fit, they vary a bit

Whether wrestling a Tyrannosaurus or manhandling a member of your Brontosaurus herd, these gloves are the real deal. The leather palms help me keep a firm grip on to the small arms of the Tyrantosaurus, Keeping him from chewing of my face while I move him away from my herd and killing one of my Brontosaurus. Usually a punch or two to the nose makes these guys turn tail and run, while the wrap over leather on the fingers keeps you from scraping off any skin if you need to poke him in the eye. Some of the older ones don't scare as easy as they used to. The leather wrap around the thumb comes in handy for keeping firm tension on a rope( no rope burn if you happen to lose your grip a little) while you bring that stray Brontosaurus in from the bush. That means no blisters on the palms of your hands! All the while the vented back keeps you hands cool, so they never see you sweat! The Black says I am not to be messed with. While the grey and yellow trim dresses your hands up enough so you can wear them out to take your best girl to the town dance on Saturday night! A quality product, Yeehaw!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent for moving boxes/warehouse work I work moving boxes constantly throughout my shift. The touchscreen sensitive feature finger tips already have worn off the finger pads. They are comfortable. And the Velcro appears to be durable, since I constantly take them on/off. They are breathable as well. This is not a bad option if you need something that is better than the cheap pair. It's worth paying a few extra dollars for the comfort and breathability, in my opinion. I have only used them for less than a month. But if you need to access your phone without taking gloves off than this glove will be it.

I'm on my third pair of these gloves because they fit well, are comfortable and inexpensive. The first pair I lost a glove, but don't recall any problems. The second pair ripped a hole in the leather of one finger so I bought a third pair. They started falling apart after a few hours of chopping firewood. The electronic compatible coating disintegrated quickly just from handing logs - I assume rubbed off from the bark. While comfortable and inexpensive, I'll not buy them again since they just don't hold up doing any kind of work that requires a work glove.

I bought these gloves primarily to keep my hands off the cold steering wheel while driving in the Minnesota winter. No complaints on that as of yet. I have one negative comment, they are not water resistant. I was wearing them last Sunday, after a small accumulation of snow, while cutting down and bucking a tree that had been blown over onto my shed. The wet snow went right through them. Now this does not effect their ability as a work glove, but my hands were getting way too cold and I had to remove them. Otherwise they have been great so far.

They fit better than most other brands and the velcro strap on the back of the wrist keeps it in place. The fingertip is supposed to allow one to use a smartphone--a feature that only partially works for me, but I don't much care about this feature. These gloves do not last as long as some others that I've used because they are thinner, but I'm OK with this shorter durability because they still last a fairly long time, are inexpensive, and I value the tactile feel and snug fit.

However, they are better than those, because I noticed the new ones have reinforced finger tips...I had worn out the tips on the old ones in a year...had to wrap them in electrical tape (lol) until I got a new pair...still using the old ones too. I especially like the Velcro fold over tab, cause it keeps the glove from slipping. AND they are in size SMALL. Don't mfg'ers think gals need good gloves too. Thank you Firm Grip.
