I bought this safe last year and thought I had a winner. Last weekend while I was out of town, my house was broken into. This safe was mounted to the concrete floor with six concrete anchors and a large bolt to connect them to the safe. That all held up just fine, but the safe was of such poor quality that it came unattached from the bolt, and my safe was stolen. DO NOT BUY THIS SAFE. Protect your belongings with something of better quality.

The safe is sturdy, well built. The feature my partner likes is that there is a combination lock (not digital) and if you forget the the combination there is a key over-ride.
It is roomy inside, and will hold a lot of documents, items, etc. Other reviewers have warned about documents becoming moldy, etc., and I have not had the safe long enough to experience that.
I am keeping the dry-eze packet they provided in the safe and will be opening and airing it out on a regular basis. hopefully that will take care of any condensation forming, etc.
I also plan to put documents in a ziplock bag or another type of waterproof folder, etc.

When I received this safe I was not happy when the door would not open. After trying the combination I found that it unlocked the handle but the door would still not open, Not even with the key. At 80 pounds it was hard to return in store.

This is NOT a burglary safe. It looks well constructed to protect from water damage, and fire damage, but at 77lbs, unless you fill it with lead, it can be carried away by one person. I know, because I have moved it up and down stairs by myself (When it is empty). I use it to keep papers, but no valuables. I like the safe's look, and I like the look of the dial better than the look of the electronic lock. With that said, if your intent is to keep people from opening it, do not get the safe with the dial. At least my dial is super easy to counteract. The combo is supposed to be 4 numbers between 0 and 100, but with my safe, 1st number is meaningless. It is just how far I have to turn the dial to clear the last combo, and allow the dial to turn in the opposite direction past the 4th number of the combo. Yes, my dial locks in one direction when I have put the last two numbers of the combo correctly. Additionally, the second number of the combo can be felt on the dial as you turn it. Since the first number is meaningless, the second number can be felt as the dial is turned, and the 4th number locks when you have put the last two numbers in correctly, that leaves only 1 number to guess for a safe cracker. Since I didn't buy the safe as a burglary safe, I've been happy to keep it despite the dial.
Below I recommend this safe, only to those who are buying the item to protect contents from water and fire damage only.
