It uses a secure radio frequency to communicate between alarms, which are perfect for linking alarms on different floors or in stairwells. No wires necessary and it's programmable with up to eleven locations. Other features include a test and silence button, a latching indicator that remembers which unit initiated the alarm. The CO511B can be connected to other One link alarms and offers 360˚ access to the CO sensor. If one unit triggers an alarm, all carbon monoxide alarms in the series will sound. Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works as Promised I needed to upgrade my CO detectors to be compliant with CA building codes and this detector was exactly what I was looking for. I needed two that were interconnected, battery operated and easy to install, this one fit all of these requirements. It was easy to install and the programming took a few times before it worked as I needed it to. I discovered that when programming the detector you need to follow the verbal instructions provided by the alarm quickly or the programming won't work. It was fairly simple to figure out, however, the written instructions could be confusing. My recommendation is to read everything first, program the unit(s) second and physically install to the wall or ceiling last. December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Performs as advertised We installed a combination of fifteen interconnected hard-wire and wireless smokes along with three interconnected wireless CO detectors. All eighteen linked together just as advertised and worked flawlessly. Here's to hoping we never need them but if we do, then we can sleep comfortably knowing we're well protected. October 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Integrates well with the smoke detectors I have this linked to 5 smoke detectors and into an Insteon home control system. It was easy to set up, and with the loud alarm and voice, is never going to be ignored. These replaced a hard-wired system, much easier. December 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Just installed. Appears to function well. Time will tell. Installed two carbon monoxide detectors, one in basement and one in upstairs bedroom area. There are the voice alarm type. Installation was easy. They appear to work well. Time will tell how well they perform. June 18, 2013
