What does 5 chirps denote, low battery?

Asked by: Roh72
I Had the same 5 Chirp signal, and just contacted the First Alert Co. that signal "end of life" for the unit. Contact them with Model# and Manufacture Date on the back side of alarm to see if your unit is under warranty. FYI- they also told me Low Battery signal is only 1 chirp

Can we integrate and connect this wireless smoke detector with a network of hard wired smoke detectors already installed in a home?

Our existing home is already wired with a network of smoke detectors. We are challenged by physical barriers to wire in another 2 smoke detectors. Can we add two wireless smoke detectors and somehow integrate them into the existing network of smoke detectors so if the added wireless smoke detector alarm goes off the other smoke detectors in the house will also sound the alarm?
Asked by: BroT

How do you silence the 'alarm network'?

If you have "ten" of these wireless alarms networked together, and one triggers, which sets off all of the alarms, will resetting/silencing the triggered alarm silence all of the others? Or do you need to reset all of the alarms separately? Thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SUPERIOR PRODUCT !! I bought 4 of these and the matchng Carbon Monoxide Dectector. Instructions were good and installation was easy. This is an excellent product for homes that are not hard wired for smoke dectectors. Overall I was extremely pleased with the quality and performance of the product, and the price seems in line with the ability of the product. Great job First Alert !! I'm impressed !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performs as advertised We installed a combination of fifteen interconnected hard-wire and wireless smokes along with three interconnected wireless CO detectors. All eighteen linked together just as advertised and worked flawlessly. Here's to hoping we never need them but if we do, then we can sleep comfortably knowing we're well protected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This gets the job done The setup was easy. I even have all 5 detectors linked to an Insteon system. When the alarm goes off, you won't ignore it... The alarm beep and the voice is very loud. These are good, and they satisfy the building codes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install, easy to setup Needed some simple combo fire/smoke alarms for a new install. Without going overboard on budget, found this product to be a good compromise on features and price. It even lets you set the unit locations so it can tell you where the trouble is (which hopefully will never happen). Install is straight-forward, two drywall studs and threaded screws. Just place the bracket to check hole locations, drill, place studs and screws and all done. Setup is even easier, after closing the tray (batteries included by manufacturer), the unit guides you through the process by voice prompts. Takes less than 5 minutes to set up location, and run a quick test. Setting up other units for interconnect is easy too, just one extra step to link to the first unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great smoke detector I have a big spread out house and these wireless interconnected fire alarms work well. One goes off they all off and say where the alarm that went off is located. Great Stuff!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pretty solid for smoke detectors They are a little difficult to understand in the beginning but they work ok just need to get them all online within 2 minutes so I had 8 and it was a little difficult at first but it's easy to reset them to start over, they are totally worth while when you think of the peace of mind should one go off hypothetically they all go off, here's to hoping I never have to find out if they work or not since there is no indicator that it is linked with any of the others. But also it is super loud so if you did not set it up right and they are not all connected it will wake you regardless
