The birds love it and so do I. Hung in a tree near the bird feeder and the birds flit in for a drink or a quick dip. A nice addition to the backyard.

As people have stated earlier, it's best to just replace the flimsy little plastic hook that comes with it. Even with the tank filled at halfway, it'll snap due to the weight.
I have one of these just outside my window, hanging from one of those 4-ft. Vigaro shepherd hooks with three bird feeders nearby. The sparrows, finches, and especially the scrub jay absolutely LOVE it. Granted it took a few days for them to get used to it there, but they love to take a bath in it or drink from it after nibbling on the seeds from either my yard or from the neighbors across from us.
The wide mouth is great since I can wash/scrub it out when the algae take over. It is a little on the heavy side once filled, but at least it won't need to be refilled too often, maybe 4 to 6 days depending on how fast the water gets dirtied. Though, to prevent them from standing on the hook and turning their drinking/bathing station into an outhouse, I got one of those large charger plates from the 99 Cent store, drilled a 1.5 in. hole and let that sit right where the hook is. Keeps the water cleaner.
A major pro for me is that, due to the winds we've been having lately, I've seen my lighter feeders swaying pretty hard, causing the seeds to fall out, but I'm glad that the weight of the waterer is actually heavy enough to stay pretty stable (Unless there's a really strong gust and enough water is knocked out).
Reminds me of a water cooler more than anything, but hey, the birds love it, I get to enjoy their chirps and seed-eating (Even if it's 5:30 AM!), and the kids in the neighborhood love watching them gather under the guava tree when they go out to play! :D

Was not blue but black ,hard to fill had to add a chain to hang it came with a small plastic hook, even the birds have not tried it ,should have been made so u could fill it from top. Should have returned it after I opened the box but I did give them a try especially when I bought two .would not recommend this product.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Yankeelady2016 Nice to look at and perfect size
I wanted a way to bring water to the ground feeders and enjoy a drink or two. This design is attractive, sturdy and very functional. It can sit on a 4x4 post but it also has a hook to hang it with but for now its sitting in hole on a stump that is a serving area for the doves and woodpeckers. Its very versatile,Ill always have a use for it.

I hope they keep making these - this is the 4th one I have purchased - I give them as gifts. I use the 4x4 base on my porch rail post - it is sturdy and easy to clean and refill. We get lots of birds on it so I know it works for them! It also looks so pretty with the sunlight on it, even without birds it is nice to look at. to refresh the water I dump the old water outside and carry the bird bath upside down into the house. I set the globe in a container to hold it upside down when I fill it and to make putting the bottom back on go smoothly. I carry it upside down and flip it when I get to the porch rail. it makes refreshing the water a lot easer.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by tim Only Bird Waterer We Found
The First Nature Bird Waterer is the only one we found that can hang from a tree branch. There are the traditional bird baths out there but this is only one we found like this. It works great and because it swings freely, the squirrels can't use it.
