Rated 2 out of 5 by door security in order for this to work door must have a gap for to be able to use, its ok for price but anyone breaking in wont even notice u have it on. with a good push or a kick door will open. does not take mush for it to fail. its ok for price. will not fit all doors, would not fit my front door at home there is no gap, but fits my bed room or pantry doors with gaps. Rated 4 out of 5 by Portable door lock This lock was difficult to get to stay in place when I tried it on my home door, but I had purchased it for traveling, so took it with me to New Orleans. Don't know why, but it was much easier to hold in place while I closed the door of my hotel, and then held the door closed just fine. Not saying someone could not have kicked the door open, but no one was going to open it without my knowing it and that was what I wanted. Differences in doors may make a difference in ease of use.
