CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 3 Layers Of Security I had an old Chain Door Guard that I was sick of constantly falling down and scratching the paint. Having seen this type in many hotels, I decide to try one. I choose this model because of the Pin feature. I figured it would give me a second layer of security, if the latch on the door was ripped off, the bar would still not open all the way. I did not realize ... when the pin is in, it blocks the ball from moving into the track. It actually prevents the door from open at all. I gave it only 4 Stars, because the screws that come with it are cheap and narrow. I am sure they are fine on wood, but I broke two of them trying to screw them into pre-drilled holes in a metal door. I bought #8 Sheet Metal Screws, widened the hole on the bar side (the knob side holes were big enough), and it then installed quickly, and more securely. November 18, 2012
