Customer Reviews

Rated 2.8 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Flimsy! Unbelievable. The cylinder is so lightweight the backing screws almost penetrated it. The mounting screws stripped immediately. The ring must be stamped out of tinfoil. Worse, the cylinder face is proudly stamped "hickory hardware" so anyone passing by will know what a cheap piece of trash your lock is. Maybe that is home depot's cunning strategy--anyone relying on this lock must not have anything they are trying to protect! Maybe it would keep a fox out of a henhouse...maybe. Last straw was that I ordered the nickel to match existing hardware, but every part that shows is brass-colored. Don't buy! Waste of money and, worse, time! August 26, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It turned out that I just needed the key part I had bought this because it seemed to be an odd-shaped deadbolt, similar to my 30-year-old one that stopped reliably accepting my key. It turned out that I could just use the key-turning part of this one and keep the rest of my setup the way that it was. Here is the one thing that I didn't realize about this product: you will need to cut the long screws that hold the key-turning part to the door. They come with little notches where you can cut, but I didn't realize this, and I ended up denting the front panel by screwing them in too deep. It's been working great since I installed it. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by front is brass Quality seems a little lacking. The back is nickel but the front is brass. And the home depot couldn't rekey them in store. February 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install This is a very good lock, especially for the price. September 6, 2011
