What can I say? I knew Fiskars could make scissors, but had no idea they made superior tools also. Thankfully I found out. This tree was growing rapidly and was too close to the foundation, so it needed to come out. As you can see the tree is taller than the 2 story house and while I wish I would have thought to take an initial picture of the entire tree, just know it hung over the privacy fence and almost touched the neighbors house. I originally thought I would try to buy a small power saw on a pole but found out that it was too heavy for me to handle even when it was not extended, so I opted for this tool. I never expected to get the results I did. I am not done but wanted to take a picture of the height of the tree before I go in to cut the top off. The neighbor came out and said 'good job' after I had just started taking the lower
limbs off. Little did he know I was planning on taking the entire tree down. He came home 2 hours later and found the tree trunk stripped except for this top part. I used the pruner to take the length of the limbs back so that the weight of the falling branches would not damage the fence. I found you had to use very little effort and the limbs just sliced right off. That was so unbelievable. Whoever found that technology is a genius. I then used the saw and found out it was just as easy and gave me good control so that I could let the limb slowly drop and then could go back in and finish the cut and let it drop safely away from me and the fence. And this huge tree got stripped down rapidly and precisely with no damage from those heavy limbs. Not only that but the product is lightweight and caused me no pain in my arms, neck or back. What would have cost me a fortune to call a tree company in was accomplished with this little tool. Amazing! WOW does
Fiskars make a chipper cause I sure have a lot of limbs? I can't wait to tell all my friends about this product. If you have a tree trimming job you need to try this product, even if your tree is two stories high!

This is an excellent manual pole saw. It really does have quite a reach to it. Overall no complaints however I do wish the saw blade was a little thicker... Seems to flex a bit much but otherwise it's great!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DYIer Fiskars tree trimmer - great value and quality
The Fiskars tree trimmer has given me very good use in multiple tree trimming uses. It is light weight , but strong- and well made. The levered cutting blade is sharp and needs only minimal leverage. The saw blade can truly reach the 14 feet as advertised. The valve per cost is excellent. The effective ease of use is the most valuable asset. I have had other tree trimmers that don't match up.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Xander Best $40 spent! Worth every penny!!
Bought this to trim some branches overhanging my house which became a problem, they were getting in the way of the lines and the leaves were overwhelming to clean up in the fall and really clogged up the gutter. This awesome tool cut the branches in absolutely no time at all. Did it from the safety of the ground. Before I had to use a ladder which was cumbersome and I still could not access the branches I needed trimmed. For $40 this thing is worth gold!! Safe to use, massive reach, the pruner/lopper works surprisingly well and the saw cuts pretty quick as well and is adjustable, couldn't ask for more. Does everything I need it to and is affordable. BUY IT, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Eddie pole saw
I bought this saw after falling out of a tree two weeks ago. This will help me to stay out of trees...or at least on lower rungs of a ladder. I used it today quite a bit. If you understand what this is, and it's intended uses...you will be quite happy with this purchase. It has good reach, and it is well-built. Fully extended...it is a little shaky. I try to draw the extension back a foot from full extension to improve stability/rigidity. I cut several branches today 4-5 inches in diameter. Even though they were about 15 feet up...it went well. Buy it...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mike Good Value for homeowner use
For $35 on sale, this is a very capable set of bypass pruners and pruning saw. The lever action of the pruner makes for easy cutting on branches as big as you can fit into the pruning jaws. The saw blade very effective on larger limbs and surprisingly easy to use, even with the pole extended fully. I was able to quickly prune some branches on a tree that overhangs the house. In the past this would have required dragging out the extension ladder and some dangerous leaning/stretching to reach everything. The reach of the pruner turned this into a much safer and faster job!
This is a well built tool, very suitable for homeowner use at a very reasonable price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by UltraDan Hate the work, love the saw
I really dislike the task of pruning high limbs - it can be extremely awkward to make the cuts, but the telescoping saw makes it a bit safer than climbing and cutting. I have used this saw for about a year now, and here are my observations:
1)The saw blade is very sharp and cuts extremely well.
2)The telescoping pole is extremely durable, even when at full extension. I am amazed at how flexible the pole - there was one instance where it should have snapped on me when a branch came down and got caught on the blade. The pole got wedged on the flat roof I was standing on, and there was no damage to the pole at all.
I am very impressed! Well worth the money!

See video for details on usage - one tip I have found from a decent amount of use is that you always have to keep tightening the blade with the wingnut at the end of the pole or else the blade gets wobbly while it is being used.
