Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EXCELLENT Pruner!! I am very pleased with the Fiskars pruner. They make excellent products and this pruner is no exception. The 15" blade cut effortlessly and quickly through 4" limbs. It has a very sharp blade and cuts on the pull stroke. The smaller limb cutter works effortlessly also. It has a double pulley set-up and takes hardly any effort to cut right through 1 1/2" limbs and under. The extendable 14' length is also great; I could reach surprisingly high up in the tree with this pruning pole. I am definitely very pleased with the quality of this tool and the price is very reasonable too. I'm sure it will last for years to come. You'll be more than satisfied if you decide to go with this pruner. May 31, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good pole trimmer Some reviews mention that the clamp that secures the two sections together would let the sections slip apart. This is true, BUT the two bolts can be tightened with a nut driver or a thin walled socket. No need to take it back, just tighten the bolts! The nuts are Nyloc nuts with a nylon insert that keeps them tight. Great for cutting palm fronds, but they do dull the blade. I have no idea if you can buy a new blade, but that's what I was looking for when I wrote this. Rope can slip off of bottom roller if you don't keep the slack out of it. September 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tiny tool accomplishes a mammoth job! What can I say? I knew Fiskars could make scissors, but had no idea they made superior tools also. Thankfully I found out. This tree was growing rapidly and was too close to the foundation, so it needed to come out. As you can see the tree is taller than the 2 story house and while I wish I would have thought to take an initial picture of the entire tree, just know it hung over the privacy fence and almost touched the neighbors house. I originally thought I would try to buy a small power saw on a pole but found out that it was too heavy for me to handle even when it was not extended, so I opted for this tool. I never expected to get the results I did. I am not done but wanted to take a picture of the height of the tree before I go in to cut the top off. The neighbor came out and said 'good job' after I had just started taking the lower limbs off. Little did he know I was planning on taking the entire tree down. He came home 2 hours later and found the tree trunk stripped except for this top part. I used the pruner to take the length of the limbs back so that the weight of the falling branches would not damage the fence. I found you had to use very little effort and the limbs just sliced right off. That was so unbelievable. Whoever found that technology is a genius. I then used the saw and found out it was just as easy and gave me good control so that I could let the limb slowly drop and then could go back in and finish the cut and let it drop safely away from me and the fence. And this huge tree got stripped down rapidly and precisely with no damage from those heavy limbs. Not only that but the product is lightweight and caused me no pain in my arms, neck or back. What would have cost me a fortune to call a tree company in was accomplished with this little tool. Amazing! WOW does Fiskars make a chipper cause I sure have a lot of limbs? I can't wait to tell all my friends about this product. If you have a tree trimming job you need to try this product, even if your tree is two stories high! September 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by made life easier This is an excellent manual pole saw. It really does have quite a reach to it. Overall no complaints however I do wish the saw blade was a little thicker... Seems to flex a bit much but otherwise it's great! July 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fiskars tree trimmer - great value and quality The Fiskars tree trimmer has given me very good use in multiple tree trimming uses. It is light weight , but strong- and well made. The levered cutting blade is sharp and needs only minimal leverage. The saw blade can truly reach the 14 feet as advertised. The valve per cost is excellent. The effective ease of use is the most valuable asset. I have had other tree trimmers that don't match up. April 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing! At first it felt awkward but before I knew it, I'd taken down four 2" oak limbs. I've complained for months about needing to remove the limbs over my yard and driveway (at least the ones that are within reasonable distance). in just a few hours I removed 10 limbs that were 2-3" and many smaller branches with the pruner. I have to say...this was a steal at $40. It does bend a little when fully extended to the red line but the blade cuts with minimal effort. August 29, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by OK Overall could be better The saw blade cuts very well and stayed sharp, however the unit has two major drawbacks: 1. the rope pulley for the cutter has not guard so the rope constantly gets bound up in the pulley 2. the extension locking mechanism is a weak plastic lever which feels like it might break, and does nto have enough clamping force to keep the extension from sliding in/out when trying to saw a branch July 21, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor design The locking mechanism doesn't secure the telescoping pole. Instead of cutting on the pull stroke, the lock slips and the pole extends. Returned same day I purchased. July 17, 2015
