14 ft. Bypass Pruner is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 491.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Made the pruning job A LOT easier I had to prune 2 large oak trees that had branches growing over my roof which we giving squirrels access to my roof & attic. The snips cut through 1" thick branches easily. The saw cut through the thicker branches easy as well. When using the saw, it'll cut as you pull back, so pull back smooth and long so it'll cut as much as possible without much effort. The saw is held by a single small bolt with wingnut, it unfortunately loosens down after pruning a branch off, so you should retighten each time. The extension pole is very versatile and holds well. However, the farther its extended out, the more wobbly it becomes. Still, the extra length saved me from having to borrow an extension ladder, which I get nervous climbing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does What It Is Designed For I have an oak tree that was developing some dead branches on the lower limbs. This tool worked wonders. The snipper handled branches up to about 1 1/4 inch in diameter and the saw blade was amazingly effective on the bigger branches. The extension worked well so it was easy to adjust for the length needed. It took a bit to figure out how to properly adjust the rope on the snipper, but once done it worked very well. The tool exceeded my expectations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cut an entire tree I bought this in oder to partially cut down a tree that i didnt want in my back yard. It was a smaller sized tree that put a lot of leaves on the ground to rake up each week. It cut through the smaller branches with ease and I used the saw portion to cut off the branches. It extends for further reach which is a plus. When I used the cutting portion, the extension device dislodged from the pole and i had to keep tightening it throughout the trimming. The saw blade is sharp and its easy to assemble. The blade to cut the branches is pretty sharp as well and it cuts with ease as long as you have a good grip on the rope and handle. Make aure you have a good geip on the pole when you cut because it sometimes falls quickly and can injure someone if they are standing nearby. Also make sure not to stand under the limbs you are trimming. Wear safety glasses too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Saw! When I first tried it, the two pieces came apart ; I was really annoyed but realized that the nuts needed to be tightened properly. After securing and tightening one end onto the orange side, then the other, I was good to go. I am absolutely thrilled by this item. I have 2 ash trees that needed pruning and the tool allowed me to cut not only small branches with leaves, but also larger ones over 6" in diameter. I cannot afford to hire an arborist, so this is perfect! The blade is sharp and the cutting fast; the cutter is operated by pulling the cord: it is a good quality tool also. The only "problem" with this tool is that it is addictive! I was supposed to try it for a few minutes, but I liked it so much I ended up working on 2 trees when I had more pressing things to do :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so far so good Have only used one day, but the product got a lot of use! I (5'3") got all the branches cut back that I never could reach before. I figure I saved at least $200 from having a professional come. Super easy to use on small branches, more coordination needed on larger branches where I actually had to saw. Product came pre-assembled right out of box. Instructions on how to use are not good but it's easy to figure out. Very happy with purchase! Word of advice - make sure you have plans on hauling away branches, they accumulate quickly! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect This thing's several feet longer than any other similar trimmers I was able to find at the same price point. Why, I'm not sure, because the quality seems to be fine. I'm actually a little scared of how easily the saw went through the pine branch I needed to remove. It was probably 4-5 inches across, and this thing went through it like butter. I also used the smaller clipper on a few small branches, and that was equally impressive. Required almost no effort to slice through. I used it on one branch that was the biggest you could possibly fit inside the jaw, and that still presented little resistance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT Pruner!! I am very pleased with the Fiskars pruner. They make excellent products and this pruner is no exception. The 15" blade cut effortlessly and quickly through 4" limbs. It has a very sharp blade and cuts on the pull stroke. The smaller limb cutter works effortlessly also. It has a double pulley set-up and takes hardly any effort to cut right through 1 1/2" limbs and under. The extendable 14' length is also great; I could reach surprisingly high up in the tree with this pruning pole. I am definitely very pleased with the quality of this tool and the price is very reasonable too. I'm sure it will last for years to come. You'll be more than satisfied if you decide to go with this pruner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Palm Trees We saw a professional gardner using something similar to trim palm tree fronds and started looking for something ourselves. This particular model gets good to great reviews. Lowe's sells something similar that got awful reviews. After reading all, once we brought the tool home, my husband tightened up all the nuts and screws. He used the blade to trim off palm fronds and the built in cutter device (using the rope cord) to trim low handing branches off our Bradford Pear. Overall, an excellent tool so far. Husband said he liked this so much better than having to stand on a ladder and use a saw blade.
