Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pohonui Great new Fiskars tool
This is a great new Fiskars garden tool. it is large enough for all planting, weeding, digging, and even cutting and opening bags. It's strong, has one flat blade and one serrated blade with a forked tip for pulling weeds. It cut through tough compacted roots easily and that was the greatest part of the tool for me as I had a couple of outdoor potted plants that needed transplanting and they were root-bound. This tool with its serrated edge was perfect. I also love the forked tip as it gets to the deep roots of Dandelions and pops them right out. I've found many uses for it in the garden and it is a keeper in my garden tool kit.

Love this garden tool. I use it to pick weeds out of the garden, it has a forked tip to dig with, as well as thin out roots of day lilies and other plants that have underground runners.with the serrated side . Very comfortable handle, cushioned, Looks very durable and a good weight. Yes, I would recommend this item to anyone who works alot in the garden, very handy tool.

My lilies of the valley grow under my garden border bricks and out into the lawn every year. It's a tough job to try to dig them up and transplant them to somewhere other than in my grass. This garden knife is the perfect answer for this job. It digs down in the dirt right next to the plant stem, digging deep enough to get past some roots, then with just a bit of a slant to the blade it cuts the stem. My lilies can then be pulled out of the grass with enough roots on them for them to be transplanted. Next easy job-------the transplanting. I'm transplanting these lilies under pine trees. Pine trees have shallow, very fiberous roots. It's hard to dig a hole sufficient for planting under the pines but this knife goes in the soil and easily cuts through enough of the roots to be able to plant my plants.
While these are 2 specific uses of this knife there are many applications, including cutting out weeds, particularly ones with tough or woody stems.
This is a heavy duty knife that comes with a plastic blade guard to cover the blade when not in use.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Shopper Works until it bends at the handle
The concept is a good one, and I like the tool, but never like a poor quality tool. This item bent where the handle meets the blade guard. My soil is sandy river bottom, completely without rocks. If after several uses, @a year of use, it bends that easily in sand, I would hate to see how quickly it bends in hard packed dirt.
A good idea, but typical Chinese quality. Use it with the understanding that it will not be a tool of quality.

As I said previously, I like Fiskars garden tools for 2 reasons: They're durable and they're cost-efficient. This is a prime example of a lifetime tool made of hardened aluminum which is unbreakable and a soft handle that is comfortable to hold. This tool can dig, weed and cut. And what's nice about it is how well it does all three. You can easily cut through perrennials to separate them with this tool. When you're done, rinse it off and hang it up. If this tool lasts another 20 years, it will have cost me about 30cents a year...my grandfather could have really used one of these!

I returned the product. The tool was not as expected.....the cutting edge was not sharp and I was unable to use it to cut back plants.

Bar none, this is the handiest, most efficient, garden tool I've used & I do landscape maintenance as a full-time job! Get one, you won't be disappointed. It's great for weeding, awesome for digging holes for putting in bedding plants, and easy to hold & manoeuvre.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by sdfsdfsdfsf I'd like to say it was good but...
I liked it for the limited time that I could use mine... the welds (castings?) where the handle meet the blade snapped on the second day that I used this tool.
While I was able to use it, it worked well. Needless to say I'll be returning mine.
