Are bolt and nut included in this package pf replacement blade?
Asked by: Charles
The nut and bolt are not included in the blade package, so be sure to save the one securing your old blade. If the wing nut or bolt has become lost (the little wing nuts are very good at hiding when they fall on the grass) just remove the head from your pole saw and bring it with you when you come to purchase the blade. You will then be able to match the bolt thread or replace both nut and bolt with one that fits properly from the miscellaneous hardware drawers where the hard to find fasteners are located.

Where do you find the model # on my Wallace Fiskars pole trimmer (12ft)? I am looking for a replacement saw blade and I want to get the right one. My present blade has two holes on the top and one on the bottom where the wing nut bolt fastens it on to the pole head My pole trimmer is probably about 25-30 years and still works great!

Unfortunately I seem to have discovered what you already knew. The only marking on the blade retention head is "TAIWAN" which is of little help. Was your old blade the "new improved Woodzig" design. If it was not, though the blade will likely fit your pole you may be disappointed by the "Woodzig" performance. My original blade was the old style "tri point" with the narrow pointy teeth sharpened on both sides (like you find on other Fiskars pruning saws), it worked GREAT. The "Woodzig" design with the wide flat teeth is extremely sensitive to the cutting angle which is not a good feature on a saw being used 10-12 feet above you. Your ability to move around to alter the cutting angle is inherently very limited. I discovered that after a few saw strokes the blade was riding on the wide flat surface of the teeth and not cutting at all. To adjust the cut angle enough to have the cutting edge in contact with the branch I would need to sand on a step ladder which defeated the intended purpose of a pole saw. I contacted Fiskars but have received no reply as of yet. My solution was to purchase a blade with "tri cut" teeth and re-drill one of the holes so it matched the Fiskars mounting configuration. Admittedly not the greatest solution, but until I hear from Fiskars it will have to do. I wish I could have been more help.

Blade setting

I bought the TP45 Wallace without the blade, but now I realize that I needed it.. Where and how can I attach the blade?. Will the bolt and nuts required to attach the blade be special or are they standard bolts and wing nuts?
Asked by: Alberlopper
if you don't have a wing nut the Home Depot will help you find the right one.

Bought this to mount on the end of 3 sections of 10ft EMT piping that I slapped together to make a 30 foot limb cutter. This blade cuts through all woods like a hot knife through butter -- oak, maple, magnolia. Saved me hundreds maybe even $1,000 that I would have had to pay to have high limbs pruned. I've been doing tree limb pruning for decades and wish I had come across this sooner. I'm also going to try mounting this on my hand saw pruner to see how it works in that application. Superb performance for the money.

Steel Pole Pruner Blade I bought a cheap piece of junk Bond pole saw off of amazon that needed a blade so I went to Home Depot and bought 2 of these blades. I took them home, drilled a new hole in the pole, and they fit perfectly. I don’t have that pole saw anymore because it was really cheaply made and a piece of junk, but I still use these blades for sawing through large branches and small tree trunks. I outfitted the blades with a spare saw handle. Pros: *Very sharp *Decently priced *Rust resistant *Very strong Cons: *Haven’t found any cons as of 6 months later TIPS: I use an old hedge trimmer scabbard as a case to protect the blades as well as my hands. If you oil the blades they will last longer. I would recommend these great blades to a friend.

I was hoping it would hack through my palm fronds like a hot knife through butter; but no. Probably OK for hardwoods - maybe my Laurel Oaks at some point. I might resharpen & reset the old open-tooth blade for less $$.
