The ad said it had drain holes, but only had spots to drill the drain holes. I had to drill my own drain holes. I bought mine at close out/surplus prices for $4.99 each. Funny that 2-3 weeks later the exact items were being sold for $14.99 each. Makes one wonder if the 2014 models were that much better than the 2013 models.

I purchased 7 of these over the last two growing seasons. Two have annuals, and 5 have herbs that are on our deck right outside the kitchen door. My wife loves being able to walk outside and pick fresh herbs for meals. They hold up well and I've painted two to match the porch railing, the rest are staying clay colored. I did drill holes in the bottom to ensure adequate drainage.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nannijo Excellent planters, they fit on the rail perfectly and don't take up space on the deck like the large flowerpots do.
They hold several plants, are easy to water, and I don't have to worry about them tipping over. They were available for pickup in the local Home Depot store the same day that I ordered them.

We purchased two planters, planted great flowers and now our patio looks like a garden.
