The trowel wasn't sharp enough to go through grass. Had to "pop" it to get it to dig into the grass.

This little shovel was on my husband's Christmas wish list! I ordered and paid for it to be delivered to my local store. It was exactly what he wanted and it made a great inexpensive stocking stuffer.
Great quality...very light....easy grip handle.

After buying a cheaper product - which was not just cheap in price but in quality as well - and had it break into two pieces where it was welded, I needed to find something to replace it. Of course price is always important for me when making a purchase, but one thing to remember is that it's not saving money when you have to keep buying replacements over and over again. This trowel is comfortable in the hand, and the style eliminates the design problem of a digging tool with a flimsy welded connection with the handle. In a nutshell - I think this purchase was smart on my part and use it frequently.

My garden is better suited to pottery than to flower beds, but this tool can withstand the most hardpacked soil, to get the job done.
