Rated 1 out of 5 by wstilwell Fiskars titanium lopper - handle broke after 6 branch cuts
Purchased a few months ago from the home depot - just got around to using them today and within 15min the darn handle broke at the hinge point. The bars are metal, I specifically recall while looking at them in the store thinking with a metal handle these things will last! sadly, I should have looked at the hinge point, you guessed it, all plastic. Broke while cutting about 1 1/2" branch. Emailed fiskars a repair request. Hope for the best.

Rated 1 out of 5 by flumpmaster Titanium coated blade chipped after light use
My wife bought me this lopper several years ago. I finally used them this weekend. The blade chipped after just a few small branches on an oak tree - rendering the tool useless. Many other reviewers have had exactly the same experience. As others have stated, you can't find this particular model on Fiskars website.
I will try emailing the manufacturer for a replacement blade - but don't hold out much hope that the new blade will be any better than the original based on others reviews.
This tool is a real dissapointment - it looks cool and well made but has a serious design flaw with the blades. I have a pair of the smaller Fiskar 'gear' loppers - these at least survived a full day of tree trimming.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BenM Wished it was really Titanium
So I owned this lopper for only 2 years of light use. As shown in other pics the blade really isn't titanium but is only "blade coating".

Rated 1 out of 5 by Serpico Don't buy these loppers -Fiskars does not warranty premature blade breakahge
These loppers prominently display on the handle in large print "TITANIUM" "Superior Blade Technology". However, the small print, says "titanium coated." While the "Lifetime Warranty" is printed on the handle, Fiskars' position is that broken blades are not covered by the warranty. The blade on my loppers broke after about 1 hour of use. Other buyers of these loppers have reported similar premature blade breakage. Fiskars position is that it will replace a broken blade on a one time basis "as a courtesy." Fiskars clearly is not honoring its Lifetime Warranty when a blade breaks prematurely. This model is supposedly designed and manufactured for heavy use, but they do not measure up. I could not find a replacement titanium blade for these loppers on the Fiskars website, nor on any other vendor website. I did not see this model listed on the Fiskars website, so it appears that it has been discontinued. If you buy these, you may not able to buy replacement blades in the future. I have not asked Home Depot for anything because this is a Fiskars responsibility.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Brent Broken blade after a few uses?
I bought this to cut some soft trees in my back yard. After I noticed the blade was broken I put it in the back of my truck and unfortunately forgot to take it back. I don't know if Home Depot can do anything after this much time, but I don't think I'd replace it with the same item anyway.

After about a year using this product the cutter broke. The handles and blades are made of metal and are themselves of good quality, but they are joined by a hard plastic base that brakes on tough jobs. Why not make the entire of metal?
