I simply could have not completed my fencing project without the post hole digger. Using the old conventional digger, spade, and san angelo bar would have taken me and additional day and a lot of pain to complete. I was able to eliminate the spade and dig smaller, 90 degree holes with the new digger with less work. The bar was still required to take care of rock and very hard clay. Because of utilities and sprinkler system, I was unwilling to use a power auger. I highly recommend this well designed and built, energy saving post hole digger.

I am a female, age 60, and bought this post hole digger based upon Fiskars reputation and the fact that the grips were farther apart than in the typical designs I had seen. I also liked the warranty and the durability of the blades. I dug 26 holes 24 inches deep to plant a new hedge and found that this post hole digger was light weight enough so as not to be too cumbersome to allow me to do the job by myself.I love it!

In tight spots couldn't be better. Bought this immediately after using my son's. Saved so much time over conventional straight pole

I bought one because my neighbor borrowed me one for a summer, his was older and really used. The first time I used my new one I bent the handle. It does what it is supposed to but the metal is weaker than before.

Installing line fence, there were some areas where I could not use power auger. This was perfect.

Heavy, which is good, but hinge is too high making leverage on dirt in jaws difficult. I'm sure this is to allow deeper holes, but I didn't like. Open, handles are just shy of a foot apart. Closed just about 2 feet. I prefer a wider handle spread for twisting torque for breaking small roots. Returning to try another brand, might wind up with the wooden handle model I'm used to.

I had to dig 8 holes for split rail fence I put in. My soil has a lot of clay, and this was able to break through it. I really liked the fact that the handles are far apart vs a tradition post hole digger. I can't imagine banging my hands together constantly. I was able to dig 3ft into the ground with no issues. Digging post holes by hand is hard work, but the features of this product made it a bit easier.
