I bought these lopper's to trim down the bushes around the air conditioner. They were getting out of control. They were thick and heavy and had reached eight foot tall. I needed something with a long reach and sharp blades. The branches were brushing the house and it was time to go. These lopper's made quick work of the job. In an hour I had the bushes under control and had wandered around the back yard nipping baby trees down. They are sturdy, easy to handle and have enough leverage to get through thick branches. Branches up to two inches thick.

I had researched this item on-line at Home Depot's website prior to going to the store to purchase it. Thanks to the website, I knew exactly where to find it in the store and how many were available. This is a very handy tool for making a purchase.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chris Solid product, works great
Works well, even on medium-sized branches. Already much better than the light-duty lopper I've had for several years (which is falling apart due to wear).

I bought these loppers a few years ago and at first, I thought they were great! One year of use, they cut everything I threw at them. Branches on the bush on our corner (one of those bushes that grows like crazy). Trimmed the pepper tree, tree of heaven stem/branches and our Mulberry tree. Seemed like these would be a good long life tool.
This winter, I had to trim plants in our yard again. First, the Rosemary bush - the loppers seemed to have lost sharpness. I checked the blade an it wasn't in bad shape. Next to the Mulberry tree. Shoot, it's not cutting clean. Okay, now to the corner bush. Cutting very sloppy now. Finally to the pepper tree - oh my, these aren't working. And I didn't abuse them!
After some inspection, I noticed that the bumper stopper was bent and not working. I was pretty disgusted and tired, so I put them back in the corner and I'll deal with it in a few months. The last set I bought was less expensive, had wooden handles and would still be usable, except someone left them out in the sun/rain and the handles were damaged. These don't have wooden handles, so I thought they'd be better.
