I have other Fiskars products that I like and would recommend, so purchased these as an in-between, between heavy pruners and Fiskars Micro Pruning Snip (which I highly recommend for fine work). I'm a man with medium sized hands, and have to say that these are the most uncomfortable scissors, ergonomically, I've ever used - to the point of hand cramps after a few minutes of trimming. The large opening for a right hander doesn't accommodate more than the first digit (it's just too small), if 3 fingers are inserted, and my thumb gets stuck in the thumb hole when I remove them. They are sharp, and I like the ease of disassembly, but for someone with medium to large sized hands - please try them before purchasing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from lightweight, gets the job done My wife added this to her garden toolbag and reports that it is the perfect implement for giving her beds a haircut and a shave. Plenty sharp and pretty ergonomic!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I love these shears! They handle everything that is too thin for normal clippers. It is easy to take them apart for cleaning as well. The handles are easy to use if you have arthritis or other hand problems. Excellent product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I will buy these every year, until something better comes along This is a product that I keep buying because I haven't found anything better for soft branches and cuttings. Pros: Orange handles can be seen on the ground. Sharp blades that don't wear out and don't rust. They fit well in hand. They have a lifetime warranty. Cons: They are made to "take apart for easy cleaning." I think this is totally unnecessary because they rinse clean so easily as they are. There are many times when the scissors have come apart when in use, which is very annoying. They do eventually break. I use them heavily and go through at least one pair a year. Despite the cons, there is nothing better out there in a garden scissors. Don't use them for hacking on bigger branches, however. They will last longer when used for very thin branched, soft cuttings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from if you garden, you need this If I carry one tool into the garden, this is it. This is my 2nd pair - - the handle on the old pair cracked after 13 years of serious abuse. My only quibble is the tips on the new pair don't come to quite as sharp a point as the old ones - - these are a little harder to use for harvesting green beans, pruning tomato suckers, etc. (But they're less likely to punch a hole in my pocket - - go figure.)
