Answer:
The barrel is made of plastic. They are probably calling the color " clay ". The color is taupe/tan with small flecks of terracotta, white and grey. The color is nice and neutral and blends in nicely with the house and landscaping. I have had mine for six years and they look like new.

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 80 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fourth of four This barrel was the fourth of this design that has been installed at our house. They blend with the brick and are easy to install. After about 3 yrs the faucets need to be replaced with a better quality PVC faucet. July 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best purchase I have made in a long time... Love it! Amazed at how much water is being wasted! Wish I had bought this sooner! Love it! Was very easy to install. I couldn't believe with one light rainfall, it filled up in one night. I assume with the cost of water/sewer it should pay for itself in 2 years. I did quite a bit of research before deciding on this particular unit. I ordered it online, and picked up in store. I high recommend! September 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fiskars Tuscany Rain Barrel We purchased this at our local store this past weekend. It was easy to install. The hardest part being cutting the downspout with a hack saw -- and I built a stand for it to elevate it for use anywhere in our yard and garden. This morning we had a good rain. Not surprisingly the barrel was full when I checked it. And I noticed the diverter worked like a charm. The two main complaints I've read people having with it is that the spigot is too high but unless you put it on a stand you would not be able to put a pail under the spout. Another complaint was the plastic spigot. Unless it was broken when you bought it, it should not be a problem. If you hit it with a cart or something, sure you can break it. Anything is possible, but I'm not worried about it and saved the cost of a brass spigot. Overall, we're very pleased with it and expect many years of good use from it. April 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love my rain barrels! I purchased 3 of these 6 years ago at my local Home Depot. I am getting ready to purchase 2 more. The only thing that I didn't like were the plastic spigots. I replaced the spigots with brass ones at the time I installed them. After 6 years of use they are still working like new. The only part that needed to be replaced was the diverter tubing, which was no big deal! When I installed them I put them on blocks so I have no problem getting a watering can underneath the spigot. One on my favorite aspects of the rain barrel is that it blends in nicely with my house and landscaping. November 17, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Spigot broke As others have written, the spigot broke. Submitted online claim to Fiskars today. Will report back later with results. As of now, I cannot recommend this product due to the poor quality of the workmanship. July 6, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by leaky valve but otherwise fine easy to install with a level and hacksaw. Amazed at how quickly minimal precipitation could fill the entire barrel. December 4, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rain Barrel faucet could be better The plastic faucet that came with the barrel began leaking - a slow leak. I purchased a new 3/4 faucet at a local hardware store and installed that with Goop on the threads. I have read that Fiskars does replace faulty faucets but this was the better route to go. My neighbor has the same rain barrel and his faucet does not leak. Also, the hole for the faucet could be lower so more water could be used. The faucet location is about a foot above the ground. I like the design overall which is why I purchased it. I also like being able to access it from the top. Also, it's great being able to use rain water rather than paying for it from local utility. Sewerage is like 40 percent of the water cost. July 11, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Rain Barrel This is the third Rain barrel that I have ordered like this so I must be satisfied. I have all three linked to gether off one down spout. Haven't had much problem with spout like other people did one leaked but they replaced it for free. The only complaint is I wish the spout was lower on barrel and the price was cheaper.
