Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ErinR I LOVE this weed stick!
It needs a little getting used to and I wasn't sure if I liked it the first few times, but now I'm convinced. I like to go out when it rains and the ground is nice and soft, because the long tap roots pull up easily instead of breaking off. It's a little tricky to aim, you have to get it right in the middle of the weed or it just pulls the leaves off and the plant stays in the ground. You also get some of the grass each time, but I just think of it as an ongoing aeration project. :) This has definitely been a worthwhile purchase for me. It's so easy to go out each weekend and pull a few dandelions and other intruders out of the lawn to keep from being overrun, which I kind of was last year because I so hate getting down on my hands and knees to dig them out. So, yes. Highly recommended this weed stick. Just be sure you use it a few times and give it a chance before deciding whether you like it.

First, this tool does a good job of getting out medium to large weeds and the roots. However, parts of the tool needs to be made of more durable materials. The plastic has cracked after the first year of use, in a relatively small/medium sized yard.
Now I do have clay soil below the surface of the ground, so that may help to put stress on the tool. But if the part that is plastic were a stronger material, I would be more satisfied and the tool more acceptable. I would not mind if the tool were priced slightly higher to be more durable. Not many people want to replace garden tools each year.
The design is good otherwise, and highly effective while it lasts.

This product would be outstanding if it weren't for all of the plastic. It needs a re-design to make it more durable. Not every job allows you to "go easy" with a weeder. It has to be durable in order to be useful. The plastic makes it super lightweight, which I suppose is great for those with back problems. Maybe that was the idea behind the product. However, the downside is that the product is best for occasional and light use, not more intensive jobs. I had an intensive job to do. After only one month of working with it, the plastic cracked and the four spikes would not clamp down together. See pics.

Nice design - too bad they made it out of plastic/composite.
Its weak and un-able to do what its designed to do when broken.

This tool is wonderful. I bragged on it so much that 2 of my friends have ordered one and love it. It has made weed removing easier and less of a back strain. I am recommending it to all I know.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JOHN Awesome weed removal tool!
I have read all the reviews on weed removal tools and this appeared to be the best rated. My front yard was a mess with weeds, mostly dandelions, since I did not have time to weed & feed earlier. The Fiskars weed tool is a lifesaver. Not only was it easy to use, but it also saved my back from pain by not having to bend down to pull out the weeds. You simply place the tool over the weed, step down on the base and pull down on the handle. There is no effort and even the biggest weeds with 6 inch roots came out easily. I pulled out about 60 weeds within 15 minutes. This is the best gardening tool ever. I highly recommend it, especially for weekend gardeners.

Wow, this tool is terrific. I hated working on my hands and knees to remove those pesky weeds. And there have been a lot of them this season. I started on the dandelions first and I could remove them with ease and then eject them into my wagon. On some of the other weeds, I needed to sort of twist the tool so the claws could grab better to remove the crab grass. You need to pull back towards you to lift the weed out. I showed it to my neighbor and showed him how it works and he went immediately to Home Depot to order one.
