Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not the same as shown in the ad :( The item shown in the online ad is what they USED to sell...and that actually WAS a great product. What is actually in the store is a different design that makes it absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to interconnect multiple spouts. When you follow the directions on the spout and the sticker, cutting off the squared area and try to insert one rounded end into the other, you can't. Both rounded ends are exactly the same diameter, which makes it impossible to feed one end into the other...maybe the Hulk can do it, but no normal person can. the old design was easy to connect...I really wish they'd bring back the old one...if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cannot join two of these.... not possible To confirm..... there is no physical way to properly join two of these products. Cutting-off the rectangular ends results in two ends that are exactly the same diameter, and will NOT mate together. Simply not possible without "special" (meaning "highly inconvenient, and difficult" ) effort. The ONLY viable options are (1) to purchase the extension pieces that do not have the rectangular ends.... these are the by-design mating pieces. But Lowes & HD do not carry them in my area. ...or (2) buy std black corrugated drain line (in plumbing dept, usually, 10ft lengths), and insert the flex-a-spout end (after cutting off the rectangular part). Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by can not connect multiple extensions I bought these hoping to be able to connect two of them together. I can confirm with what others have said that this is NOT possible. I actually talked to someone at the manufacturer about this and they told me that with the new version of the product, there is a separate extender you can buy if you want to connect them. However, it is not sold anywhere that I could find. Maybe it's still too new? Anyway, I ended up returning this and purchasing downspout extensions from EZ Flex. Those are made from modular pieces and can be connected for longer runs. Although it was not available at my local Home Depot, it was available via the Ship to Home option. It is a much much better product for roughly the same price. Get that instead -- look up product #205207241. October 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product A must have product if you have gutters. Prevents erosion next to your foundation where gutters dump the water coming off the roof. November 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Will do the job I have for it Having used something like this before but in different color so I was pretty sure I could utilize this one as well. The composite was very durable but almost so much that it made it difficult to pull out the extension as it is meant to be used. Once extended, it was was very bendable and moldable to have it lay/twist/turn the way I want it to. Sits on the downspout very well - quite a ways up it. Should stay on much better than the metal one. October 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Simple and effective The downspout has 4 moulded indents to help locate positions to drive screws to attach this to the bottom of your metal downspouts. The ribs are stiff so it is best to expand and shape the accordion style flexible midsection before you attach the extension. Fine adjustments can be done afterward. I have one of these at the base of all four corners of my house to direct rainwater further away. October 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Drain Extender Very effective and relatively easy to install. The best extender I've found for the price. Colors are fairly neutral. November 3, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Downspout Extension works great! Seems however that Home Depot has greatly limited veteran discounts. November 3, 2015
