While they may be found in covered areas outdoors, they were not designed for this purpose. Today, these mailboxes are to be used for replacement of similar mailboxes only. If you are adding new mail service, please be aware that the USPS specifies that the mail equipment used meet the current STD-4C regulations (the mailboxes are more horizontal in nature and the postal carrier loads them from the front rather than the top like the vertical mailboxes). Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by florence product i prefer Florence mail boxes comparing to Salisbury brand Florence product is cheeper & better looking they are both approved by the USPS December 24, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by surface mounted vertical mailboxes Easy to install; the metal of the cover for a surface mounted application is not as thick as anticipated, but it's been in 6 months so far and we haven't had any problems with it; sometimes the key numbers are mislabeled. May 28, 2006
