A standard system at a reasonable price point. This system is good for smaller households that aren't too hard on their system.

Really lightweight and easy to install with no help from product manual. Works like a champ. Once primed its quiet. My son and I installed it to replace 30 yr. old separate pump and 20 gallon tank. We're novices with plumbing but figured it out. Manual is written as generic manual for many style Flotech pumps. Really not much help at all.

I'm a licensed contractor. doing a renovation on summer bungalow and turning it into a house. needed a little more pressure because the well is a good 600 feet from the bungalow. the pump did the job. great pressure but the pump is leaking everywhere. I had to basically take it all apart and put pipe dope or Teflon tape on all the factory connections and fittings. it seemed fine after that but I check it today and notice a drip from where the pump inlet bolts together with the pump motor. so now I have to shut down the system and take more of it apart and try to fix it.

The installation started like a bad April Fool's joke. Pump was assembled. However, every connection was loose! As soon as we turned on the water the pump sprayed water from each connection! It was necessary to disconnect every connection, apply tape wrap, tighten and reconnect each one. The pump, once tightened, works amazing. After the initial horror of every oriface leaking like a sieve, the pump, pressure tank combo is definitely a good purchase. So, a word of advise to anyone that buys this item... "Tighten it up first"

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DANNIK It leaked out of all the factory sealed fittings
The first pump leaked out of the supply line side that is threaded from the factory, it also leaked from the bladder tank fitting ....What a project ...I called Flotec and they said to bring it back for a replacement 1 hour round trip and then the 2nd replacement was damaged in the box and so the story goes...I then went to a plumbing supply store and spent twice as much but did it once.....This thing is JUNK my first one lasted 25 years and the Flotec didn't last 25 seconds ....But hey.....you draw your own conclusions

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Joeh A good value so far
I bought this pump and tank combination to replace a 20 year old system. Thus far I can report that I am completely pleased with it's performance.
I can not advise on longevity because I have just recently installed it, but I can report that it is quieter than the unit it replaced and seems to maintain good steady pressure.
Installation was a breeze and it primed easily. The supplied instructions were helpful albeit they seemed to actually apply to a different pump in the same class? Not really sure, but they tell you what you need to know to put this sucker in place.
My use for the pump is a single home dwelling of 4 people. Supplying water needs for that purpose very well.
So far, I am very happy with it and only hope it can match the longevity of the system that it replaced. I recommend this product. Note: The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because I do not know about longevity yet.

Worked for about the equivalent of 30 hours then it started leaking between the electric motor and pump housing. The only reason I'm writing this review is I found the listing when searching for how to fix this leak, :-(
web search is 'pump FP401215h-10 leak'
