Customer Reviews

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lied to again The pump will not pump 65 feet to water. Manufacture's customer service seemed to think this is normal for this pump. It is advertised to pump 100 feet, But will only pump about 50. October 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dependable with durable service Flotec FP4332 1HP deep well pump has now been running two Florida Heat Pumps (upstairs & downstairs) and the sprinkler in the summer everyday for 12 years and I switched it out from the original cast iron pump myself with the PVC pipe connections under the house and simply plugged it into the 220 electrical service since it comes already wired for 220 from the factory. I can't believe how dependable it Is but I suspect since its on a separate 220 service that it gets plenty of power and hasn't burnt up even running day & night supplying water to the dual Florida Heat Pumps. I recommend this Brand to everyone looking for worry-free dependable service. I understand they have a rebuild kit for it but the price is so competitive I bought a backup pump just to have on hand if the old one ever fails. December 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great pump Only problem I had with instalation was that the supplied bushing for the pressure gauge was the wrong size which required an extra trip to the hardware store. I really like the fact that the pump housing is poly instead of metal. No rusted housing or fittings rusted to the housing. July 11, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Broke two in two years - plastic casing developed cracks Broke two in two years - plastic casing developed cracks.buy the warranty or get one that is cast iron / stainless December 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does a great job! It was easy to install. The price at Homedepot was much better than all the other sites. Replaced a 1/2 HP pump and the difference was very noticeable. December 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NIce and easy to set up, super water flo and pressure No rust in the water, super lots of water to every were and well we run a bath tub, laundry, dishes and water the garden as the horses trof is filling with very little notice of water pressure loss,,,very nice water flo :) September 8, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very satisfied with pump! Plumbers wrong! I bought this 1 Hp pump because of the specs. I read on the box in the store compared to numerous other pumps, most cast iron and 3x the cost of this Flotec. I grew up with well pumps and questioned plastic. I used the shallow well adapter kit and 220 gal. pressure tank. Plumbers hooked up with 3/4 in. cu lines it didn't work well and kept loosing prime. The plumbing Companies were fired. I re-plumbed with 11/4 in.pvc and installed a brass check valve. Worked great passed county final insp. 3yrs ago. Since I converted switch to 230v, motor runs cooler, smoother, maybe quieter. Glad I insulated the water closet. Also, I,m on total solar. My pump kicks on twice a day avg 2 min. ea. except when I fill up the hot tub it runs about 4 min./70 gal. This pump set-up still works great. If it fails in a few yrs. I would put in another Flotec myself. I actually went through 5 different plumbers while building my 5000 sq ft house and still ended up doing most of it myself with advise from some good Home Depot guys! May 14, 2011
