Switch failed in the run position after 17 months. A year warranty on something that should last a but forever is not worth much. Pump was running full time. Had over 120 PSI in the system. The gauge was pegged I am glad that the weak link in my pluming was in a unfinished space near a drain and not the pressure tank or in a wall upstairs.
(The previous switch lasted 23 years. It failed when the diaphragm devolved a small leak and caused corrosion on one of the contacts resulting in no electrical connection.)
The cause of this switches failure is the part that rests against the diaphragm and transmits the force of the water pressure to the switch. It is a disk with two legs bent from the same piece of metal. Both of the legs are and has always be over bent. (>90 degrees) One is bent more than the other. This shows on the wear pattern of the contact points. Over time it the wear caused one of the legs to slid off it's contact point. With the legs at opposite sides of the diaphragm and the disk not engineered to move parallel with out bot legs in contact little (well less than half) of the pressure was transferred to the switch and the pump would not shut off.
With most manufacturing defects if there is one most likely there are more produced at the same time. It is all so possible it has been found and corrected by now.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RobertsReview Quick Install, restores performance.
Easily installs as direct replacement to existing pressure switch on whole house well pump. Has feature to adjust the cut in and cut out, however 40-60 was where I need mine at, so I did not change it.
Restores the water pressure to past performance.......the old switch had not completely failed yet, but the pressure was varying from 20-60psi and the kitchen faucet and garden hoses were just about worthless.
The cut in and out pressure works so uniformly now, the pressure is consistent just like city water pressure.

Have used this pressure switch before. Lasts years. It can time to adjust properly, but all switches are that way.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jetdiver Well constructed, packaged and directions for the novice were easy to follow.
Switch was well packaged and fittings were in separate plastic bag for either type of tube fittings. Was constructed very well and electrical wiring connectors were easy to wire up. There are two ground screws for auxiliary equipment needing to be switched on with the pump ( ie:chlorinator). The cover mounts tightly and wire tubing connects to standard EMT 1/2" openings. The adjuster springs for on/off settings still must be adjusted with the power off as shorting is possible with wrench near terminals, however there is a small ridge of plastic that offers more protection than many other switches.
Directions were easy to follow and adjustment springs were lubricated for easy settings.
