My husband and I have intended to build a greenhouse for years to help jumpstart our ever expanding gardens, but there is just never any time. This year the plants I started were overtaking the living room, so we decided to go ahead and purchase an inexpensive interim greenhouse. While we didn't want to spend a fortune, at $219 we did want the greenhouse to make it through a few seasons. After reading the reviews of numerous greenhouses at Home Depot and another site, we decided to go with this one. While we've had it less than a month (so I cannot speak to it's longevity), we are quite pleased with it's usefulness - and it stood up well to a windstorm we had yesterday.
The only criticism I would have is a very minor one and only for added information for those who might be setting this up by themselves: the box cover is amusing, and misleading. This is not a "self-erecting" greenhouse and there's no way the petite older lady in the pictures would be able set up the greenhouse herself. That said, set up was relatively easy - particularly as my husband and I did it together. With the two of us, who have put up numerous similar tents together before, it took less than 30 minutes to erect. If you haven't set up tents before, it would be useful to have a friend who has set up tents before to help you, because the instructions aren't fabulous. Additionally, it does take a bit of strength to get some of the rods where they need to go.

Bought this to grow veggies on the coast of northern California. Easy set up but the description "self erecting" is a bit of a stretch. It sets up like a tent and you need 2 people. Seems to be made with quality materials (in China).

For a beginning gardener, this is a good product, both for cost and experience level. I wanted something to try the greenhouse thing out and this fit the bill. It is better than spending a small fortune and lots of my time building one and then not using it to the full potential.
However, it took two of us to put it together. The box shows this elderly lady putting it together in 5 minutes. It doesn't work that way! Once it was assembled, it is a pretty sturdy structure and is pretty easy to move around when determining where to put it.
My neighbors have come over to check it out and now they want one!

This greenhouse is a great value. It replaced one of the same model which lasted me at least 10 years and gave me a great place to store my wife's tender outdoor plants each winter.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Kyle defective.. doesnt "pop up" either
took me atleast 30 minutes to put up. once i finally did get it up, i found out that one of the walls were broken and doesn't stay down by itself. luckily if you put weight on it, it will stay down. i would rather just do that than to take it down and dispute flowerhouse. also, the vents will hardly keep any bugs out. i gave it two stars for the practicality and functionality. its easy to move around and seems pretty durable. it will still serve its purpose, somewhat. i would recommend it if it wasn't for the defect. I'm sure I'm just the unlucky one

The Dreamhouse is as advertised. If you're wanting to see how you like a greenhouse before spending some big bucks on a permanent one this is a great way to test the waters. Now, I have only had this product for a month and I live on the upper coast of SC. Not exactly Maine weather, but it's been fun & easy so far. I already have five plants growing from seed in the Dreamhouse. I'll also over winter some plants as well. Bought a digital thermometer and a $15 heater for the little greenhouse. I can readily check the conditions of the greenhouse from my home office. I can even turn on/off the heater with a remote. I have it on my concrete patio and it's anchored down by bricks. Not storm tested yet. One person can put this up, but it's a lot easier if you have two. Good Luck!!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by FWRWPilot Sure beats covering individual plants.
I actually purchased a 9x9x8 Farmhouse, not the product indicated above. We were tired of trying to cover and save our individual potted plants. Half the time the Texas wind would blow the covers off and the plant would die anyway. We had an early freeze coming and this product was a lifesaver. We couldn't set it up in the yard because it would interfere with our sprinkler system so we put it on the pool decking. It takes some ingenuity to tie it down when you do that but a combination of bricks and the supplied tie downs did the trick. We were able to get all of our plants into the greenhouse and all are doing well. Without an alternate heat source, the inside temperature remains about 10 degrees warmer than the outside. I use a small heater when the temperature is due to go below 28 just in case. This greenhouse has met all our expectations. We did find several problems however. The first was that the supplied directions were not for this unit. I went up the Farmhouse website and pulled up their instructions and they were exactly the same. The center pole had a cross, not an X and there were no pockets to insert the rods into. As instructed, I looked behind the bands but they were not there. Next, there were more support pieces than indicated but I was able to figure it out from the picture in the instructions. As for quality, the overall build is excellent and sturdy. I did find two more factory defects though. When I went to install the side supports, one of the rod holders was sewn in 90 degrees off. To get the rod in I had to perform surgery by removing stitching on the bottom side of the pocket. Hopefully it will hold that way. The second issue also had to do with sewing. When I went to open the center window, I found that the right side zipper had been sewn over so the window can't be opened. I'm leaving it like that and using another window for ventilation. Overall, we're happy with the product.
