Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by builditright1 BROKE after months only! Cheap, flimsy, plastic
Only months ago my friend installed this as a gift. I had an old heavy duty thing before which worked just fine. This is junk. Cheap plastic. Stopped operating effectively after a few months only. Then...very thin chain that looks like jewelry beading wire snapped & completely broke. I'm without toilet. Spent hours trying to snap this thing out to see what's going on & whether I could at least do a quick fix so I have a working toilet. So now..... totally broken, can't use toilet at all, only one in the house. What to do now????? As it was a gift I have no receipt, however I will still contacting the company very shortly. This is unacceptable given I had a perfectly working toilet for years before this install. Inconvenienced!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MarcB My first one broke, and they promptly Fedexed me a replacement.
My first one broke, and FluidMaster Fedexed me a replacement. Very impressed with the service and followup.
It is currently working the way you expect it to work. It is actually working quite nicely. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will keep working.
With this kind of service behind the product, I guess I might even get a couple of more and update all my flush valve's in the house.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ToiletKing Awesome design, OK Quality
The design is great. Unique adjustment on top allows "tuning" of your flush. It is super easy to install, but you must actually pay attention to the instructions. Fortuantley, the instructions are pretty clear and straightforward.
Quality is just OK (cheaper plastic parts), but just glad I didn't have to take the toilet tank off for the retro-fit! Last time I did that with other products, could not find the right gasket to replace the one that was old and cracked. This no-tank-removal design elimantes that issue...nice!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Butch poorly designed and does not perform as promised and does not last
My son purchased and installed the duo flush system about a year ago as a money saving gift. The system frequently leaks after flushing and yesterday the cable attached to the handle broke Inside the flush valve.
I went to Home Dept and Loews...no parties . I had to purchase the entire duo flush kit to replace the flush valve. No parts because folks are replacing this failed system with the tried and true and simple less costly systems. The kit cost $30 +.
I have read the many complaints from customers and fluid masters apologies and response. WHY is the problem Not remedied? Poor QC and CS.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Flushy Poor Handle Design Prevents Consistent Performance
The valve itself does save water and is a good idea. However, the handle design cannot withstand repeated use. Cheap, small diameter plastic gearing, thin gage actuation wire inside the mechanism and an inadequate locknut make handle performance unacceptable. Guests often push the handle with the force of a traditional toilet valve. The handle cannot withstand these forces.

Install was easy and straight forward and it worked for few months. Then it started constantly filling unless you juggled the handle. Next it stopped flushing. The issue here is there is a tiny cable from the handle to the flush unit. That comes loose or breaks which means you can't flush anymore. The cable is about as thin as a piece of thread, not a very good design for longevity.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bdw13 Do not buy. May work at first but fails later and costs you LOTS in water bills
At first the duo flush will work great. I installed four. But then after some time the cable from handle will not work properly leaving the flush valve in the wide open position. I did not discover the issue until after turning off my irrigation system for the winter. My normal non irrigation months water bill is $65. My last two months October and November have been $164 and $241. Fluid master fully acknowledges the issue and will send tradional flapper replacements, new arm and handle free of charge no receipts required. HOWEVER the flapper replacement they sent is now causing the dreading slow leak refill every 8 to 10 minutes. I will be calling them back. Their explanation is that in certain applications (hard water) the minerals cause the cable to eventually stick. Well Ive lived in Kentucky, Georgia, Illinois, and now Tennessee and I've had some level of hard water in all those places.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bobby It Works Well
Installs real easy, I had a leak at first between my angled valve seat and the supplied adaptor, but resolved it by pushing the adaptor on tighter. It would be better to simply replace the angled seat with a level one but I didn't want to take the tank off, but doing so would eliminate a potential leak point. I was able to get my 3.5 gallon flush down to 2.10 for full flush and 1.25 gallons for the light flush. Fluidmaster should upgrade the kit to a metal flush handle though, the plastic one is cheesy. I am going to buy another one for my other toilet.
