Product Overview

The Fluidmaster PerforMAX Fill Valve with Leak Sentry is the quietest and most powerful fill valve on the market and it also includes leak detection. Your toilet is a precision-engineered appliance and is designed to work on a specific amount of water. The fill valve is the engine of this appliance; it drives flush performance and makes water saving possible by making sure that the right amount of water is used to flush the toilet. The Leak Sentry device allows you to save water two ways. It keeps your toilet from refilling if the tank has a leak and keeps the fill valve from turning on, which prevents more water from leaking out. The valve has a refill adjuster to be sure the correct amount of water enters the bowl.

  • No other universal fill valve on the market will help your toilet run better than the PerforMAX
  • Made of durable corrosion resistant materials
  • Highest refill rate of any fill valve on the market allows you to optimize your toilets performance-2 times higher refill rate than standard fill valves
  • Double flange design allows for the quietest fill valve available
  • Refill adjuster and leak sentry protection save water
  • Universal fit

I have three of the same Koehler toilets. It works in all three. I don't see why it would not work in any model.

It functions as designed but it is not a good design. More hassle than it's worth, if your toilet is leaking just fix the leak, if you are going on vacation and worried about a leak just use the manual water shutoff valve. This item is difficult to adjust, as both chains need to match and engage at the same time but they attach at different lever lengths and the levers all have some flex, very fiddly. If you want to hold the lever down for a stronger flush it must be held at just the right spot because too little and the anti-leak dodad won't trigger refill mode, too much lever and it again shuts off refill. I may buy a standard float valve to replace it or I might attempt to add a hard upper stop to the trigger mechanism and a light stainless or plastic spring to the trigger chain for easier adjustment.

That item means that a slow flush leak flapper doesn't waste much water and the low tank lets you know about it. More importantly, a tank failure does not mean a flooded house, just a couple of gallons of water to clean-up. I don't know why anybody would buy a flush valve without Leak Sentry.

Product was broken out of the box; the height adjustment would not engage and, as a result, the height could not be adjusted to code. The leak sentry gadget is hard to adjust so that it allows the toilet to flush properly without interfering with the operation of the flush handle or flapper valve. The control valve adjusting the flow into the bowl is the wrong size for the tubing included and, as a result, the valve is non-functional. The bottom flange washer was in the parts list but not in the box. This was a factory oversight since the plastic parts pack had not be opened. I installed it but was not satisfied with the operation and replaced it with a Hydroclean flush valve which operates perfectly.

It's easy to install, like a normal Valve, but this one, half the time doesn't fill up. I've got to giggle the toilet handle a few time to get it to start allowing the water to enter. And, there have been times when it continues to fill even when the bowl is full. I've got to wait until the water shuts off to make sure it turns off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works beautifully! I've read the other reviews, and while I agree that the leak guard not catching just right and releasing so the tank can refill is a problem. I will stress it is only on the rarest of occasions. We bought this to replace a flapper/valve combo that was leaking causing the toilet to "run" if you will. Our water bill became a little out there and we couldn't figure out why. Water company suggested a running toilet and we had an epiphany. It has been installed almost 7 months now. Toilet 2, and 3 replacements have been ordered and they're ready for pickup. It has done exactly as expected for a quarter of the price of a plumber.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works so far The leak sentry attachment was optional and I opted out so I can't say how that works, but the fill valve in general has been working well so far and it stopped the water from running non-stop into the overflow pipe. I tried adjusting the metal rod on my old fill valve first but it wouldn't stay in place, so that meant I had to replace the fill valve. I was worried the new fill valve wasn't going to be tall enough for my tank, which is 15" tall without the tank lid, but it fit perfectly.

I have tow Toilets and they both leak through the valve so I decide to replace them. Went to home depot to find a good one and I Got selected this one. Got home and replaced one, very simple but it leaks just like the one I'm replacing so I install the other one and it does the same thing. Before I installed the unit I blew air into the water connection and it did not leak, I take it out and test the same way, it leaks. What's the problem?

I took mine apart after it failed. I realized the reason is a rubber gasket stopped letting water into the tank. I don't know if the reason it failed? a design problem or quality control (made in Mexico) but I don't want to spend my weekends fixing toilets. I replaced mine with an American-made Korky toilet repair kit.
