Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Greg I hope I don't really have to review it
It went up on the walls. I hope I don't have a fire and get to test it. Only bad thing I have to say is that I wish it was available in a smaller amount, I only had to paint a small room and now I have all this extra..

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Becky Very easy to apply
Though I have not tested the fire capabilities, this paint is extremely easy to apply, very little odor, easy to mix. I used it to cover Foamular 250 that is installed in my basement for insulation. This is a much more cost effective option than sheet rock and certainly less toxic that spray foam insulation with an intumescent paint that requires vacating the premises for 24 hours. Only down sides are the paint containers weigh over 60 pounds and the paint is very expensive. But, I recommend it.

I purchased this product to paint over the drywall in some rooms I was remodeling to try and make our home that much more safe. Everything I read said you could paint over it and it would work like a primer. Wrong. You can't roller over it like you would normally paint a wall because the paint won't stick to it. The moment you roller back over the same spot it peels off. We called the company and the rep said we can't paint over it. They suggested a spray gun might work, but rollers are a no go.
Luckily we tested it in a closet. We ended up putting many very light coats over it in single roll at a time. The rest of the bucket won't go to waste. We will be using the rest of it the attic where we aren't a painting over. So, we won't be out the money, but weren't able to use it for our intended purpose.

Coverage per square foot isn't the best, considering to get the fire protection they advertise it will take 2-3 coats at least with a roller. Coverage isn't the same for all material's either. Drywall only needs around 10mils of dry thickness while OSB needs 30 mils. Overall though it is cheap fire insurance to help stop spread of fire. I used about 4.5 gallons to cover the ceiling of a 25' x 28' garage with OSB.

Look at the testing certificates closely. This is not a code compliant material. You may pass it by an inspector who doesn't know any better but someone who does their due diligence will reject this product.

Hopefully I'll never know how well this stuff stops fire. I just need to trust the technical specs.
Coverage was less than expected. Had to buy a second 5 gallon Pail. At $350 for a bucket, it was a big budget overrun.
