1. Will this door (below) fit a finished tile opening of 35-1/16 to 35-1/8 opening? (Max listed as 35")

2. Is this shower door frameless - it appears to have a metal strip (magnetic?) on the handle side? Foremost Cove 33 in. to 35 in. x 72 in. H Frameless Pivot Shower Door in Brushed Nickel with 1/4 in. Clear Glass, Model # CVSW3572-CL-SV Internet # 203230907

Not sure about the opening size - you could center the threshhold, and caulk the ends to account for the bottom opening, then offset the plastic magnetic strip on the end of the glass to meet the installed magnetic strip. My opening was only 33.5 inches, and I cut the threshhold down to fit the space. As far as frameless is concerned, there is a framework you install all around the main glass door to hold the door upright, and provide a magnetic edge for a sealed closure. The door itself does not have a frame, but you need to slide a plastic track (with a metallic strip) onto the door edge to meet the magnetic edge for the door to seal tightly.

Cove 34.5 in. x 72 in. Semi-Framed Pivot Shower Door in Silver with 1/4 in. Clear Glass is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 25.

With the hinges in place, it's more like 73" tall. I removed some cosmetic caps that added to the height, and it's still 72-3/8" high, meaning you'll need an opening that's at least 72-5/8" high. To make a long story short, I had to modify the opening to make this door fit. In addition, the vertical side pieces are flimsy. When I open and close the door, it feels wobbly and insecure. Finally, there's very little adjustment on the hinge side of the door. So if your opening is not plumb, you've got about 1/8" worth of side-to-side adjustment. I'm very disappointed in this expensive door. :-(

This shower door looks great and is sturdy...especially in light of its relatively low price. The only's a nightmare to install! I had professional contractor put it in (someone who has done 100s of show door installs) and he said it was possibly the worst set of instructions he had ever seen for a product. You have been forewarned!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't fit for dimensions advertised. The product says 33 - 35 in opening. My shower opening is 34 1/2 in but the door didn't fit. I am having to shim by 3/8 in to get the door to fit. Quite disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Touch in Small Bath This door added a nice finishing touch to a quickly remodeled small bathroom. However, do not try to follow the included directions - unless you are an engineer. They are illustrations only, nothing written out in a step-by-step manner. I found a link on their website to a YouTube video showing the product being installed, step-by-step, and all the mystery was gone. After the main treshhold was cut, caulked into place, and set (I let it sit for 2 hours) , the rest of the installation took approximately 20 minutes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor Hinge adjustment Screws and hardware Still waitng for Customer service at Formost to get back to me with new hinges. The hinges are suposed to be adjustable but the set screws are made of aluminum and strip out when backing them out . Instructions are not detailed. Extra metal rail for spacer is not explained in the instructions. Hardware that comes with the door is poor. Overall look after struggling with the installation is good for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great Looks awsome only complaint is that only 5 little screws hold the entire hindge to the wall with little plastic mollys... Kinda flimsy with the entire weight of hindge and glass... Personally if i mounted again i would have bought my own bigger longer bolts and mollys and drilled holes a little bigger to beef it up because the amount of money you spend on the door you expect it to be up for a long time and that's definitely the weakest links.. Other than that it operates perfect and has many adustments and looks great in clear with brushed nikel ... Also invested in a squeegee!!! Keep that glass clean i have hard water and leaves water spots
